10 Of The Best Washington Casino Hotels to Stay At – Feel like Destination Resorts

Even If You Do Not Gamble!

We have been staying at many of the Northwest Casino Resorts for years, even though I am not personally a gambler. I have loved many of these hotels for their ammenities and beautiful hotels, and that has kept me coming back. The hotels are usually separate from the gaming spaces, so I have been staying with my kids, as I have loved the pool areas, sizable rooms, wonderful restaurants, and often many other amenities, and generally for around the same rate as you would find at other hotels in the same location.

Many of these spots are like local resorts, where there is plenty to do onsite for an overnight or weekend stay, or you can use them as a base to explore an area. They often keep very high standards in terms of the hotel being updated and upgraded regularly, so chances are you will have access to things like great restaurants and pools, as well as spacious and well-appointed rooms.

The first part of the list includes resorts that we have stayed at and loved, and the second part includes places I have not yet stayed at, but have visited, and the last part of the list includes spots I have not stayed at or visited, so I cannot provide a personal recommendation, but they are on my list to visit. If you have stayed at one of these or have another favorite, we would love to hear about your experience.

If you are heading down into Oregon, another spot I have loved is the Seven Feathers Casino Resort. I am partial (actually very partial) to staying up at the Seven Feathers RV resort and taking the shuttle down to the main resort, but I also love this location (and it is right off of I-5, so we have generally stayed on our way to California). You can check out our review of the Seven Feathers RV Resort here if you want to learn more about that spot.

Note – if you are traveling with children, these are all spots that allow family travel (and will have amenities for the family). They usually offer hotel spaces (like lobbies and sometimes more) that are separate from the casino area, and usually a restaurant or two accessible without going into the casino. There are often other restaurants that kids can go to that are located in the casino, and in that case, they usually have to stay on the walkways going through the casino to the restaurant (ie, they cannot hang out by the machines).

Locations We Have Stayed In, and Would Recommend

Here are 4 spots we have personally stayed at (some of them multiple times) and really enjoyed.

1) The Tulalip Resort

Location: Tulalip, Washington (out by Marysville).

The Tulalip Resort lands the #1 spot on our list, as it is the place I have stayed at the most over the years. We have family up North, so it became a meet-up spot for us to do overnight get-togethers. It is a 4 diamond resort, so it is beautiful.

The pool is my favorite part of this resort. It is indoors, but has an oasis feeling, and when my kids were younger, it was one of their favorite pools in Washington (we have featured it in our article on 6 Washington Hotels with Great Indoor Pools).

As my kids have gotten older, one of their favorite things is the easy access to the Seattle Outlet Mall. We have done trips here to do some school shopping, and that is lots of fun.

There are lots of restaurants to enjoy onsite, as well as many in the same parking lot area (like Olive Garden, as well as grab-and-go spots at the mall), so you can eat well without leaving here, no problem. A couple of our favorites include the wood fired pizzas from Blazing Paddles for a more affordable meal (walk up to order and find your table after), Journeys East for great Asian food (we always order family style), and for a fun Italian setting they have recently added the Tula Bene Pastaria + Chophouse (we went there for a girls getaway and had a fun dinner). If you want to avoid the Casino altogether, check out Cedars Cafe (and there are many more options onsite, too). They do offer shuttle service to many other restaurants in the area as well.

This spot is great all seasons, but one of my favorite times of the year to visit is Christmas, with the indoor pool, walking access to the mall to do some shopping, the pop-up ice rink to enjoy some ice skating, all of the beautiful lights, and great restaurants. It makes a wonderful weekend getaway idea, that is not too far away, but offers plenty to do. A Cabelas is right next door (walking distance for us), and when we go for a winter getaway, we like to book a timeslot to head over for the FREE Santa photos there as well (you can find more information on that in our FREE Santa Photos in the NW roundup here).

(This is just the beds, the bathroom area is huge too – and this is a standard room)!

Other things I love about this resort are that the standard rooms are large and beautiful, there are plenty of common areas to enjoy without ever entering the casino (including a restaurant and lounge area and some shopping spots), and I know I said it before – but the pool! They also have a spa on site, and music events if you want to stay for a special event.

2) Angel of the Winds Resort & RV Park

Location: Arlington, WA.

We stayed here right after this location opened, and loved our stay as the hotel was beautiful, and there are plenty of restaurants and amenities to enjoy on-site. However, what I really want to do is make a trip back here to stay in their new RV park in a yurt! They have added so many more ammenities since our stay, and I hope to stay in genera,l but their recently opened RV park looks like someplace I would love to have access to even more amenities and go to the larger hotel when you want to.

When we visited, we did a couple’s stay, but they have added so many ammenities that next time I go, I really want to visit with my kids. The rooms were beautiful, it had one of my favorite buffets at the time, and some affordable dining options too. But since we last visited, they have added a bowling alley and Virtual Sports, which I think my kids would love. They have always had a great entertainment complex (book your stay during a concert you want to catch).

Their RV park adds even more, as it looks like it offers the best of all worlds. You can stay in a new luxury yurt (or bring your own RV), and enjoy an indoor pool, sports courts (putt putt golf and more!), fire pits, walking trails, and more – then head to the resort when you want to enjoy that.

They also offer a number of spots to eat onsite, from walk-up and order to finer dining, so something for everyone!

3) Suquamish  Clearwater Casino and Resort

Location: Suquamish, WA (Kitsap Peninsula)

This spot is a little bit smaller than some of the other resorts we have shared so far, but there are some things that make this one really special for the right kind of visit. To start off with, it is on the  Kitsap Peninsula, and makes a great stayover as a destination, but also as part of a road trip to this area. If you want to make it part of a road trip, we do share this Kitsap Peninsula Road Trip Itinerary for Families to help with that. This location is also a 4-diamond resort!

I love this spot as a fun resort to stay at, but it makes an even better base camp to explore the surrounding areas (like Bainbridge and Poulsbo) as there is a lot to do nearby. Another nice thing is that they offer two different kinds of lodging options. They have a lodge by the waterfront and then tower rooms. If you stay in the lodge, you would never even know you are on a casino property, unless you go up to the casino (you have to take elevators up to reach it in the building behind you), or head to a restaurant in the casino building. We have always stayed in the lodge and loved it.

They do have 6 restaurants onsite, including one you can enjoy without ever getting near the casino.

Clearwater Casino Resort Pool

A couple of the highlights of this location are that it offers beach access, and the pool and hot tub areas here are wonderful as well. There are also cultural centers to enjoy and a large lawn area with firepits and games. You will really feel like you have gotten away with a visit here.

It’s been a while since I did a review of this place, but we did do one review of staying at the Suquamish Clearwater Resort previously, if you want to get an idea about this location.

4) The Northern Quest Resort and Casino

Location: Spokane. WA.

We discovered this spot on a trip to Spokane a few years back and fell in love, so we have booked at least one night on our trips to Spokane. My kids have played sports that have often included tournaments in Spokane, so we have ended up spending a fair amount of time over here, and we love this spot. It is the largest property of all of the casino resorts in the Northwest, too.

They also offer a hotel as well as a smaller RV park area with some cabins. We have only stayed at the hotel, so I can only share my experience there. The rooms have been nice, the pool is gorgeous, and there are lots of great restaurants.

This spot offers lots of spaces to enjoy outside of their casino. There is a separate building for a movie theater (where you can also order dinner), and a game room that my kids loved when they were younger. I always stayed with my kids in this area, but they do offer childcare in these facilities too if you want to get out for a while as adults.

If you are planning to head to Spokane, we share a little more about this spot in our review of where to stay in Spokane, and you can also check out things to do in Spokane in case you want more ideas of things to do in Spokane during your stay here with your family.

More Ideas That Have Been Recommended To Us (But Have Not Stayed At Yet):

These next two are locations where I have visited, but never stayed in their hotel, so I can give some insights into the properties, but not an actual stay in the hotel. Both of the resort areas are new, so they should be pretty high-end.

5) The Snoqualmie Casino & Resort

Location: Snoqualmie, WA.

We have not stayed overnight at the hotel yet (as it is the newest hotel on our list- just opening in August of 2025), but we have visited for dinner on occasion (as the casino and restaurants have been around for years now). The Snoqualmie area is very nice, though, and I would say this one is a fun option for a nice place to stay to visit all of the surrounding areas and enjoy their pool and restaurants! If you are not a casino fan, there are fewer areas to hang out that are not in the casino (however, plenty of areas to go that are within a 10-minute drive)!

This spot is luxury in terms of the hotel, though, and is also a great spot to stay to position yourself near Snoqualmie Falls! This location will likely fall considerably under the price of some of the higher-end places around here (aka the Salish Lodge, which sits right over the falls), but it is still going to cost you a small chunk of change per night. However, it might be a more budget-friendly option for a pricey area. The other thing to mention is that this casino resort is the closest one you will find to Seattle, I believe (without taking ferries). So, if you want the amenities of a casino resort, but have easy access to visit Seattle, this might be the one that works best for you.

The pool and spa area (shown above) is one of the draws for me. It is a floor that houses the MoonRise spa, an indoor pool (that features glass doors that open to an outdoor deck with views of the Cascades), as well as an indoor and outdoor hot tub.

The big attraction in the area is, of course, Snoqualmie Falls, and we share about visiting the falls here

We also enjoyed a recent weekend excursion train during our last visit (the train station is just a few minutes by car). There are some fun restaurants and spots to get drinks in the downtown Snoqualmie area, or head to North Bend for some shopping at the Outlet Mall, or if you’re a fan of Twin Peaks, you can check out Twedes Cafe in North Bend. Taking a day excursion on the train out there is a pretty relaxed ride and affordable, but they do have seasonal events too (like the Halloween or Santa trains).

6) Muckleshoot Casino Resort

The Muckelshoot Casino has been around for many years, but the resort is new and full of luxury. Some highlights of this resort include a relaxing pool, spa, and state-of-the-art gym, arcade, and  rooftop steakhouse on the 19th floor! When my kids were younger, this spot would have provided something for everyone with the pool and arcade. It also looks like the hotel is in a separate location, so it will be nicer for those of you who do not want to be in the middle of a casino.

I have had dinner here a few times, but I think an overnight stay here looks fun, especially if you are looking for a spot in the South Sound, and they have won many awards as the Best in the NW, so it looks very nice.

Some more ideas include:

Note that these are all locations that I have NOT stayed at or visited, so I cannot tell you how easy it is to enjoy the resort without going into the Casino, but there are other options that have been on my list to visit.

7) Swinomish Casino & Lodge

This spot is a popular one in Anacortes and overlooks Padilla Bay. There are not as many ammenities for kids (no pool), but it does provide access to an 18-hole golf course for those of you who like to golf and 5 restaurants onsite. It could make a nice option as a couple’s getaway if you want to have water nearby and play a game of golf.

8) Emerald Queen

There are two Emerald Queen Casino locations (one in Fife and one in Tacoma), and the one we are referring to here is the Tacoma location. They are close to each other, but there is quite a difference in the resorts, so this is an important distinction. This one sits right off 1-5 so it could make a nice stop on a trip where you want to stay close to the highway. There are 6 different restaurants at this spot

9) Silver Reef Resort

This spot is up in Ferndale and offers 5 dining options, including a steakhouse. It could be an option to visit and explore the Bellingham area, or to cross the border. If you are heading up from the Puget Sound area, consider building a drive along Chuckanut Drive into your visit, to really make it feel like a getaway.

10) Quinalt Beach Resort

This spot sits oceanfront, and there are oceanview rooms to book. In addition to being right on the ocean, they also have an indoor pool and a couple of restaurants to pick from. It looks like it might not be as high-end as some of the others on the list, but ocean access can be a real draw.
