 Valentine Themed Hot Cocoa

Valentine Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

If you are looking for a Valentine gift that is unique & perfect for winter, check out this darling Valentine-themed hot cocoa mix in a jar.  A parent made  a version of these last year for our school’s Valentine bake sale and I loved it so much, I wanted to make these for Valentine’s Day this year . This is something you may already have most of the ingredients & if you hit up the Christmas clearance sales, you may have lots of extra plastic ornaments (they do need to be the fillable kind so you can use 1/2 on top of your mason jar), so this can be a very affordable gift to give friends, neighbors, & family.

If you do not have any plastic, fillable ornaments, you can just layer all of the ingredients in the mason jar – just use a little less hot cocoa & marshmallows & add the conversation hearts at the top. It will still be a very cute jar with the layered hot cocoa ingredients & the burst of color from the heart candies.

This idea can also be used for other holidays or themes, too – add a layer of snowflake blue, white & silver sprinkles for a winter theme. Or add any fun red or green Christmas candies (red & green M & M’s for example) for a Christmas theme. You can get creative with this idea for a fun treat to pass out to your loved ones!
