6 Essential Oil Room Spray Blends for Everyday Use
Oh how I love convenience! I use essential oil spray blends every single day. I think I enjoy them so much because they are almost always ready to go; they make a nice alternative from the diffuser, are kid friendly and make wonderful gifts. I gave some friends room sprays using Christmas Spirit essential oil (a wonderful holiday blend of oils) & heard rave reviews from all of them how much they loved them.
Spray blends help me get the most out of my oils and making them stretch, so that I’m saving money yet getting all the amazing benefits essential oils have to offer.
If you haven’t used your oils as a spray before, you’re in for a real treat. You can make your very own essential oil room spray using this recipe:
Essential Oil Room Spray Base Recipe:
First, you’ll need a 4oz bottle. If you’re using an any citrus essential oils, make sure to use glass bottles only, as the citrus oils will break down plastic and it can leach into your spray, so it’s ideal to use glass or stainless steel for those oils. In the bottle combine the following:
- 2 ounces distilled water
- 1 ounce vodka or witch hazel (this makes the spray last longer, and the vodka or witch hazel acts as an emulsifier to mix the oil with the water)
- Your favorite essential oils (you can start with the recipes below)
Shake and it’s ready to go; spray mist in to the air. A little will go a long way.
You can also use 2 oz bottles & I’ll often find these at Walmart or the Dollar Tree in the travel toiletry section. Just adjust the amounts by half if you’re using a smaller bottle.
To get you started, I’ve put together 6 Essential Room Spray Blends that are ideal for Everyday Use.
