This coming weekend, Saturday August 14th & Sunday August 15th  is another Fee-Free weekend at the National Parks.  You can head to any of the more than 100 National Parks & receive FREE admission this weekend!  What a great option for some frugal family fun!

Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise

If this weekend doesn’t work for you, check out the rest of the year’s Fee-Free days at the National Parks:

  • September 25, 2010 (Public Lands Day)
  • November 11, 2010 (Veteran’s Day)

We have been wanting to head up to Mount Rainier to see all the beautiful wildflowers, but the summer is just flying by. Hopefully we can head up there before August is over.  It’s just gorgeous with all those wildflowers dotting the mountainside.

So, what is your favorite National Park to travel to & why?

Sep 25th is this weekend, don’t forget! This weekend is also the Mt. Rainier Rhythm and Blues Festival in Mineral, WA, just down the road from Ashford, and there are elk bugling tours going on at Northwest Trek, too. Definitely a great weekend to visit!
