About Me:
My name is Jen and I’m a stay-at-home mom married to an amazing guy, Ben, and we have 2 sweet, energetic little girls – Madalyn who’s 4 & Olivia who’s 20 months old! I am a woman who loves Jesus & my faith is the most important part of my life & my family’s life. We are active in our church & am also on the Steering Committee for our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group.
We live in Pierce County, Washington. After spending my childhood years as a Navy “brat”, living on both coasts & in between, I can honestly say that Northwest is without a doubt my favorite place & I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful area! My husband and I have a love for travel & exploring – whether it be going to the mountains, the beach or the city! So, I’m always on the lookout for fun, family-friendly activities in the Northwest – for those on a budget, just like we are!
I decided to start this website in January 2009, just as a way to share with my family & friends about my newfound love of couponing & also to pass along any great deals & bargains that I’d run across. I had no idea it would grow this much – but friends kept passing my website onto their friends & here we are today with an active community of frugal shoppers at Thrifty NW Mom!
