Giveaway – One Night Stay at the Hotel Vintage Plaza – June 1st

The Hotel Vintage Plaza in downtown Portland has a special offer for one lucky Thrifty Northwest Mom winner, where they are offering a special Starlight Parade Giveaway Package.  The Portland Rose Festival’s 38th annual Starlight Parade will be taking place on the evening of June 1st, 2013 and the Hotel Vintage Plaza is offering VIP passes to the Starlight Parade Viewing Party. Then after the parade, the winner and a guest can stay in the Starlight room on the top floor of the Hotel Vintage Plaza right in downtown. What an amazing giveaway, right?!  Just take a look at the picture of the room below – it is simply breathtaking! Wow! This would make for an incredibly special & romantic night!

The winner will receive:

  • 1 night stay for 2 on the night of June 1st, 2013. Portland Rose Festival’s 38th annual Starlight Parade night!
  • The winner & guest will stay in their Starlight room on the top floor of the hotel with 1 wall which has a 45 degree solarium style window

Sia and I both had the opportunity to try out a Kimpton hotel in Portland and Seattle this spring and we have really been impressed with not only how high quality these hotels are, but the number of unique & special amenities they offer to their guests. Their customer service was top-notch too – everyone we encountered was extremely friendly & helpful, so I am sure that the same would be the case at the Hotel Vintage Plaza.

  124. My husband and I tried to stay in the Starlight room for our wedding night 19 years ago. It was booked to a square dance convention! It would be an amazing way to celebrate our 19th anniversary!

  125. My husband and I just had a new baby, 6 weeks early because of my preeclampsia. I found out I had it and a week later he was delivered through emergency c-section. I live outside the city and went to the emergency room with a horrible side ache. They transported me right to Portland Emanuel Hospital and 2 days later we had to deliver. My liver and kidneys were failing as a result of my preeclampsia and I had dangerously high blood pressure. He was born with respitory problems so he spent 18 days in the NICU. The NICU stay was very draining to the both of us as we were constantly worried and monitoring our baby’s breathing issues. We would LOVE to have a night to our selves after this super difficult and stressful time in our lives.

We will be married 40 years on June 2nd and are planning to retrace our honeymoon which was touring and “camping” in our 1971 VW Superbeetle from Tucson, AZ up the Californina coast and back only this time we’ll be traveling and camping in a 1984 Westfalia camper…just a little more room!
