Looking for a fun getaway? We have an exciting getaway we are giving away to one Thrifty NW Mom reader this week! Here is the scoop:

The winner gets an overnight stay at the newly renovated Hotel Monaco in Portland and a meal for two at Red Star Tavern

The Hotel Monaco has recently been renovated, and Red Star Tavern is known for its cocktails and Happy Hour deals! I am a big fan of  Hotel Monaco’s fun boutique style hotels, and their great amenities like:

This giveaway will end on Saturday, 12/8, at 9pm pst.

The winners will be drawn using “And the Winner Is” plugin and announced on the blog.  I will also email the winners. The winners will have 48 hours to contact me, otherwise a new winner will be drawn. US residents only & you must be 18 yrs or older to enter the giveaway. This giveaway is not affiliated with Facebook in any way.

  17. Never been to the Red Star, but the Seared Pork Chop and Smoked Brisket both sound amazing! I’d wash either of them down with a nice local beer which I have no question that they’d have several on tap.

    HELLO!! That sounds like HEAVEN!!… On a Bun!! I’m such a huge burger-gal & I can safely say I’ve never had anything remotely close to that. But OH how I want to!

    I “liked” the Red Star Tavern, their menu is mouthwatering!
    I would probably order the Maple Brined Idaho Trout: Maple Brined Idaho Trout barley, green bean, carrots, black tea broth barley, green bean, carrots, black tea broth…. Mmm…. My husband would probably orderthe flank steak.
    Their Bloody Mary looks like a meal in and of itself, but I would gladly order it, and devour it! My husband would have a few beers for sure!

  40. Hi i liked this post, i liked kimpton hotels/the hotel monaco, and i liked red star tavern! i like them all actually, and i LOVE that the red star tavern has TOFU on the menu, and they have FRIES with CHEESE sauce for dipping. You’d be a fool not to like then PRESENT tense!

  44. This drink at the Red Star Tavern looks so yummy!!! I really want to try it. It is called the: the Pina de Agave
    (partida reposado, pineapple, lime and spiced palm syrup)

  50. First, I made the mistake of looking at Red Tavern before I’d eaten dinner, so it all looked really good. Short ribs was first, then I saw the Butterscotch with layers of vanilla cream, butterscotch pudding and peanut butter mousse-oh and don’t forget the brown butter biscotti. I drooled a little. I liked their Facebook page.

  52. My husband and I are gluten-free and with that said…The mahi mahi, green lentil salad, purple mizuna, creme fraiche, aji dulce salsa. Really sounds good. And to let you know I liked Red Star Travern on FB :)

  54. I liked the Red Star Page- I had already liked Thrifty Mom :) ALL the food pictures look good there because I am cleansing with my girlfriend, but right now the Triple Cream French Toast with Berries looks soooo yummy. sigh.
