Northwest Trek  Free Admission for Kids – March 9th & 10th

The Kids ‘n Critters event has been rescheduled for Saturday March 9th & Sunday March 10th, 2019, due to the snowy weather & storm cleanup. We just went a few weeks ago & let me tell you, winter is an awesome time to visit as so many animals are closer to the tram to see.

The always popular Kids ‘n Critters event is coming back to Northwest Trek this winter! It will take place on  March 9th & 10th (rescheduled dates), from 9:30 am – 3:00pm.  They will be offering FREE admission for up to 4 children (up to the age of 12) with every full-paying adult or senior.

Winter is seriously one of the best times to visit Northwest Trek and ride the tram tour. We’ve gone multiple times in the winter and always see so many more animals on the tram tour as they get closer to the valley floor and aren’t hiding in the forest as much. Check out the picture below from my instagram post from a winter visit – this moose was sitting close to the tram area – one of the very few times we have seen the moose on our tram rides there.

The hours are 9:30 – 3pm, however, you can stay in the park until 4:30pm. {Do note that the gift shop does not always stay open until that time, though – I think they can close as early as 3, so head to the gift shop early if you want to check it out or find out their hours ahead of time.}

There will be special Kids ‘n’ Critters activities  (talks, arts & crafts & more) all weekend long that are free with admission. Tram seating will only be 30 minutes long during this weekend so that more people can take advantage.

Don’t forget to check out the Kids Trek play area, too as it is an awesome nature playground for kids – we have a review with all the different features they offer.

*This offer is not valid with other discounts or promotions & no rain checks.
