Northwest Trek  Free Admission for Kids – Weekends in February

The always popular Kids ‘n Critters event is coming back to Northwest Trek this winter !  For every weekend in February plus Presidents Day, you can get FREE admission for up to 2 kids (12 & under) with each paid adult general admission on weekends. The discount is only available for tickets purchased at their ticket window.

Here are the dates this will take place for Kids & Critter Weekends:

  • Feb. 2-4
  • Feb. 9-11
  • Feb. 16-19
  • and Feb. 23-25

Note that their new electric tram tours are suspended until further notice due to maintenance issues.

Winter is seriously one of the best times to visit Northwest Trek and ride the tram tour. We’ve gone multiple times in the winter and always see so many more animals on the tram tour as they get closer to the valley floor and aren’t hiding in the forest as much. Check out the picture below from my instagram post from a winter visit – this moose was sitting close to the tram area – one of the very few times we have seen the moose on our tram rides there.

The hours are 9:30 – 3pm, however, you can stay in the park until 4:30pm. {Do note that the gift shop does not always stay open until that time, though – I think they can close as early as 3, so head to the gift shop early if you want to check it out or find out their hours ahead of time.}

Don’t forget to check out the Kids Trek play area, too as it is an awesome nature playground for kids – we have a review with all the different features they offer.

*This offer is not valid with other discounts or promotions & no rain checks.  It does not apply to Wild Drives or Keeper Adventure Tours.

  1. This is Awesome, thanks for sharing. I wanted to pin this on my pinterest board for family activities but I don’t see the icon. I know that I can pin it on my own but it would be great if you had the icon too! Thanks for the info
