Is Thrive Market worth it? 

Is the Thrive Market membership cost worth it? I know that most of us do not want to pay for a membership cost to shop online, but in the case of Thrive Market, I definitely think it’s well worth it. The variety of products you can shop from & purchase on their site far surpasses so many retailers for not only organic products but specialty diets / allergy restrictions, etc.

As I mentioned, we were looking for low FODMAP items & these products are so hard to come by & they are very limited, but we found that not only did Thrive Market have the most options, but they were the most affordable place to buy these, too. The same is true for so many diet restrictions such as nut-free, vegan, soy free, etc. I think you will be very pleased with the selection AND prices once you start shopping with them. And the shipping is SO fast – I often would receive my items within 24 hours or 48. hours, it was crazy how fast they would arrive!

How to Cancel Thrive Market Membership?

It is so easy to cancel a Thrive Market membership. Make sure you are logged in to your account & click on the “account” button. Under the menu options, go to the bottom where it will say 24/7 chat. You can connect with a chat agent right thru that & cancel your membership – simple as that! No calling or waiting on hold on the phone, etc, just cancel right thru your account if you are not pleased with your membership.

Thrive Market Reviews 

I have mainly used Thrive Market for low FODMAP friendly foods, but we have also recently been using it for more organic products for our family, especially snacks. When I made my first Thrive Market order, it was one evening & by the next evening, our order had arrived – the shipping was so incredibly fast. It is one of the things I love the most about Thrive Market – just how fast you receive your items once you order.

And the ease of searching for specific kinds of foods for dietary restrictions is the other reason I love Thrive Market. I have never found it so easy to put a specific dietary need in the search bar & find everything related to that food restriction/dietary need/allergy need. Plus, the fact that they have SO many different options available, so you don’t feel like you are limited as you definitely feel when you are shopping in store for different dietary restrictions, like gluten free, dairy free etc. There are just so many more options available to try out & see what your family enjoys.

Plus, we specifically compared prices for the different low FODMAP foods we ordered & the prices were almost double on many of the items on Amazon as compared to Thrive Market. So, yes, I did have to pay the initial membership fee & sometimes shipping (if I didn’t order enough to get free shipping) but the prices were still much lower than Amazon even with Amazon’s free shipping with Prime.

Here’s an example of this – on Amazon, the FODY (low FODMAP brand) salsa without onions/garlic is $12 for one jar (crazy prices!) But on Thrive Market, it’s just $3.99 – a much more reasonable price & a great price for this very difficult to find brand.

For our Spring 2022 order, here are a few price comparisons I did when ordering products from Thrive Market (compared to our typical grocery pickup order from Fred Meyer::

• • Essential Baking Company Sourdough Loaf – $4.99 at Thrive Market ($4.99 at Fred Meyer)
  • Boom Chicka Pop – $3.29 at Thrive Market ($3.49 at Fred Meyer)
  • Skinny Dipped Almonds – $2.51 – $3.59 at Thrive Market with several different flavors (only one flavor at Fred Meyer, Lemon Bliss Yogurt Almonds & they are $4.99 for the same size) . We got the Dark Chocolate Peppermint Almonds & they are just $2.51
  • Chomps Grass Fed Beef Sticks – pack of 24 mini sticks – $27.99 ($1.15/stick) compared to Fred Meyer’s pack of 6 mini sticks for $8 ($1.33/ea). The larger sticks are still the best deal at Costco, though ($14.99 for 12)Even though some of these prices were very similar to Fred Meyer, the selection was MUCH better at Thrive Market. So Fred Meyer may have one variety of the item as compared to Thrive Market having 5 different options. So if you find something you love, you can try more different variations while local grocery stores may just have a much more limited selection of the organic offerings.

I am excited to keep using Thrive Market & discover all the different products we love from their site.  It is overwhelming with how many items they offer, so we definitely need to keep searching & try new items there!
