We are getting ready to head out for a fun summer vacation, and my teens and I needed to find some vacation worthy items. Since I had already spent money on vacation, I was looking for fun styles I could get my teens to wear and that I would feel good in too, on a budget. I did not want to sacrifice style and quality though, and that meant Walmart to the rescue. I found so many really fun summer trends on Walmart, at prices that worked for me. I wanted to share some of those with you here. Plus, here are 10 favorte summer trend picks to help you refresh your wardrobe on a budget!

I also include some of my favorite brands that you can get on Walmart. They not only punch a lot of style for a budget friendly price, they also offer great quality.

Summer Fashion Trends Top 10 Picks!

I am dressed from head to toe here is some of my favorite summer fashion trend picks I grabbed on Walmart. The outfit was built around these current trends, like the craft crochet dress, bold stripes, the ultimate beach tote and summer sandals. 1 – Craft Crochet – look for knit skirts, breezy crochet dresses, and boho crochet bags. Not only are these items so cute, but boy was my dress comfortable. It is from the Scoop brand on Walmart, and I share more about it below.
2 –  The Mini Dress – there are so many options these days for a great casual and comfy look, and there are styles for all ages. Grab a t-shirt style mini dress for the day, and accessorize it to go into the evenings.
3 –  Bold Stripes – stripes can be very flattering! Make a striped maxi dress with wedge sandals your go-to summer look.
4 –  Eyelet – feminine & fun, an eyelet blouse or midi dress is the perfect piece to add texture to a basic summer outfit!

5 – Summer Essential Basics – basics in black and white can be perfect for teens and really all ages. Accessorize with fun jewelry or a pop of colors in your shoes or bag to take the basics to the next level.
6 –  Statement Swim – gingham, checkers, and bright colors – our favorite way to diversify your swim collection this summer.
7 –  Activewear  – this trend is is a classic these days. Go from the gym to the beach in these casual and comfortable looks.
8 –  Summer Sandals – find everything from strappy sandals to easy going Crocs to add to your summer wardrobe as a staple to elevate any look. Walmart has all the sandals for you— platforms, wedges, flats & more!

9 –  The Ultimate Beach Tote – whether you’re going for a fun pattern or a staple tote Walmart has some fantastic prices on these stylish and practical pieces.

10 –  Easy Breezy Linens – are one of my favorite looks this summer. Grab them in flowy pant styles, shirts you can throw over a tank or bathing suit top, or shorts that allow lots of air through, keeping you cool. Whatever your favorite linen look is, you will also look like you are casually in style (it screams little effort) but also always cool and comfy. This is one look that both my girls and myself love this summer…it transends age!

Some of My Favorite Brands on Walmart –

Walmart has some great brands and you will find lots of new trends available for your summer wardrobe needs. Here are some of my picks for the best brands to shop on Walmart for summer.

Time & Tru –

This brand is always one of the first one I look for. Their prices are so affordable, and they offer everything from basics, to dresses, jeans, accessories, shoes and almost everything in between!

The summer hat I am wearing above is a Time & Tru find and is only $8.97! My teens got leggings and tanks from Time & Tru, starting at just $6.97. Their items are very affordable, and so many fun ones to pick from in the summer trends.

No Boundaries –

There are many things I love from the No Boundaries line. The platform sandals in my list of favorites above are just $13.98 and I love mine! They are so comfortable, so stylish, and so afforadable. The pair that I am wearing above (also in my favorites list) where just $15. That is the magic mix for me when it comes to fashion picks – style+comfort+affordability. Beyond these sandals, there are so many other great stylish buys from the No Boundaries brand too.

Scoop – 

This red and purple striped knit dress I am wearing is the Scoop Women’s Striped Crochet Dress. It is so soft and comfortable, I could probably sleep in it if I wanted to. The colors are vibrant, and definitely attention grabbing, but the dress is a classic knit fabric to balance that out. I love this dress for the summer, and it feels like such a wonderful quality when I am wearing it too.

Free Assembly –

I love this ruffled tank smock top by Free Assembly. There is a matching mini skirt if you want to go with the full outfit (like the mini dress style we mention above). I chose to pair mine with shorts on a hot day, and jeans on a cooler day. I think this Free Assembly Summer Tank is so flattering on so many body styles, and I always get compliments when wearing this one out.

The Free Assembly brand balances cool and casual fabrics, with fun summer colors and styles. It is a great balance of style, but keeping things casual and comfortable.

Crocs –

My teens live in Crocs. They have since they were kids, and I found some really great prices on Crocs this year on Walmart. I paid $24.99 each for both of my girls pairs pictured here.

A fun idea for the summer is to let your kids pick out some basic clothing items in black and white. Then let then add a pop of color in the Crocs shoe color. This was my teens idea, as they loved the purple, hot pink and periwinkle blue colors. There are so many more summer colors to pick from as well. These colors are often found at a lower price too – and that pop is such a statement when they pair it with a simple black and white outfit!

Eloquii Elements –

If you are shopping for plus size styles on a budget, this is one of my favorite brands. They have so many cute styles for this summer, it was crazy. I love the off the shoulder looks, smock dresses, eyelit tops, linen pants and so many other really beautiful looks. You have to check this brand out – they will likely blow you away for the incredible style packed into budget friendly prices!
