Lights of Christmas Giveaway

My all-time favorite lights display in the Puget Sound area is the Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood, WA, which has over one million lights! I have spent a number of years going to this lights display with family & friends and every year it just gets better and better! What I love about this lights display is that not only do they have an incredible light display  – it’s the largest light display festival in the Northwest – but they have so many other fun activities to do while you’re there, that it really is a whole evening of fun! My husband & I used to go without kids with family or on date night with other couples & we had an absolute blast. Then, when we added our girls to our family, we also took them & it was even better getting to experience it all thru their eyes!

Here are some of the activities included in their nightly lights festival::

  • Live music – there are 5 different entertainment stages with local performers (see the performance schedule here)
  • Story-telling
  • Crafts for kids
  • Pony rides
  • Petting farm
  • Polar Express train rides
  • Bruce the Spruce Talking Christmas Tree
  • Visit with Santa
  • Food – everything from clam chowder & kettle corn to apple pie & corn dogs
  • Shopping (several gift shops with Christmas decor, gifts & more)
  • Overnight lodging options  motel style rooms, cottages & more. (This is not included in the nightly festival but an option if you’d like to stay close by)

While the Lights of Christmas might be more costly than some of the other Christmas light displays in the area, they really do offer so much more than just viewing the Christmas lights as it really is such a fun experience with all the Christmas music from local singers & bands, shopping, good food, & fun kids activities!  In my opinion, it’s one to budget in as a special holiday event! And I definitely think it’s worth driving up for the lights  even if you’re not in the area as it really will be a full evening event. My only tip would be that it does get crowded, especially on Saturday nights,  so I’d think about going on one of the other nights for less crowds & lines for the most popular activities (like the train & pony rides).

Lights of Christmas Festival Dates::

The lights festival is open from 5 – 10pm on the following nights:

  • December 5th – 8th
  • December 12th – 15th
  • December 18th – 23rd
  • December 26th – 29th

Prices:

  • Teens & Adults (ages 13 – 59) – $15
  • Military adults – $11
  • Seniors (age 60+) – $11
  • Children ages 4 – 12 – $10
  • Children 3 & younger – FREE

*General admission tickets will give you entrance to all of the shows & rides except separate theater performances with tickets (such as the dinner theater)

Discount ticket options:

  • AAA Discount – AAA members can get $2 off/person on your General Admission tickets  when you show your AAA membership card at the front gate. Discount valid for cardholders only
  • Pay What You Can Nights – If you can’t afford full admission prices but really want to go, they have 3 nights they offer Pay as You Can admission (the first date was 12/5, which has already passed). This means that you can get general festival admission for any price you feel you can afford. They will tally your bill at the regular price, but then you pay as much as you can. They are doing this so that no one is left out in participating in this fun event, which is such a cool thing! (Online purchases are not available for Pay What You Can nights – you will need to go to the ticket window to purchase tickets)

 Pay What You Can Dates:

Thursday December 12th & Sunday December 29th
