Starting this weekend, the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, WA, will start offering camel rides for visitors! They say they are the only zoo in the NW to offer camel rides this summer, so if this is something that interests you or your kids, you’ll want to check it out!!

The camel rides are $5 per person and up to 3 people can ride at a time. They will officially start on Saturday, June 20th!!

  1. that's awesome! We used to do camel rides and elephant rides at the san diego zoo when I was a kid, I'd love to take the toddler for something like that!

  2. The Tacoma Zoo was a blast today. We took our two daughters and they loved it. My 7yo complained about the Farm Animals being 'smelly' but the smell was localized to that small area of the zoo and really not a big deal. We used some coupons found on https://zoocoupons.com and saved $8 off admission which was nice. Overall, not as nice as the Seattle Zoo, but also not as crowded. We will definitely be going back again.

  3. I love your blog.

You should consider networking with the bizymoms Tacoma community. They have loads of fun stuff on their site, like uploading photos, videos, news, events or simply chit chat

The moms there will appreciate your advice and frugal living tips.
