Arena Sports Family Entertainment Center

Arena Sports Issaquah – Family Entertainment Center

We had the opportunity to head to the Arena Sports, Issaquah location, last week to check out their newly opened family entertainment center. It was actually our first time checking out one of the Arena Sports locations & it was a huge hit with my family, so we definitely are excited to check out their other locations around the Puget Sound, too.

The Issaquah location opened the family entertainment center in November, so it’s the perfect time to check out this new option for families. Everyone from little ones (toddler/preschool age) up to tweens & teens and adults will all love the variety of options for fun you’ll find at this new entertainment center. You can also get some sports time in with the indoor soccer arena for kids or adult classes/camps/games while the rest of the family enjoys time at the various activities.

The Arena Sports Issaquah location is one of 5 locations for Arena Sports centers here in the Puget Sound area. It’s conveniently located right off I90 in Issaquah.

Arena Sports officially started in the Seattle area in 1995 & this family-run business is continuing to grow & expand in their entertainment options for families.

Here are the other locations for you to check out:

Activities at Arena Sports – Issaquah

Arcade

The arcade is always a hit with any age and the Arena Sports arcade had a wide variety of games for all interest levels. This was definitely a place my family did not want to leave as they were having so much fun with all the unique games to play.  There are over 100 video arcade games to play (including prize games such as the “claw” prize games & more).

Hungry Hippos Game at Arena Sports Issaquah

Just a few of our favorites included Hungry Hungry Hippos, Twister (this was hilarious!), Monopoly Roll n’ Go, Skeeball, air hockey, Mario Cart, motorbikes racing, & more.

VR games at Arena Sports Issaquah

They also have 2 Virtual Reality (VR) games called King Kong & Storm, which were hilarious to watch as an observer & definitely the favorite game for the teens!  I’d say the arcade is more geared towards elementary, teen & adult, but they do have some arcade games for younger kids, too.

If you head there on a weekday, I’d suggest one of the packages with the timed play cards (we have more details below) which will give you unlimited play at the arcade. Definitely a great arcade – Seattle, Tacoma, & Eastside families will love visiting this location!

Laser Tag

Laser Tag Group at Arena Sports Issaquah

This was definitely the most popular activity with my teens – they LOVED this unique laser tag space which they felt made the game so much more challenging & fun. The Laser Tag is Pacific Northwest forest themed complete with a huge Sasquatch and lots of corridors/mazes to hide behind to catch your opponents unaware.  It’s a 4200 sq ft arena and you’ll definitely get your exercise running around all the twists & turns in this space. You score points by hitting targets around the arena as well as shooting your opposing players and/or team.

I loved that they also had a viewing area for those who were not playing and it was the perfect spot to see all the action – so I was able to capture photos & videos of them while they played & ran by me. The special effects were well done, too, which added to the mystery as they had lots of flashing lights, lasers & smoke to make it really fun.

So, if you’re looking for laser tag – Seattle, Tacoma or the Eastside areas – definitely consider this location as one of the best laser tag options we’ve visited!  The price is currently $13.75/person for 20 minute sessions. They do also have a special offer for a laser tag session + 2 hours of unlimited arcade play for $34.99/person from 4pm – close on Wednesdays – Fridays.

Escape Rooms

Escape Room Games at Arena Sports Issaquah

There are 3 different options of Escape Rooms at Arena Sports in Issaquah, with so many fun, interactive elements to do as you try to figure out the puzzle. This was our first experience trying out an Escape Room and I really liked the fact that these escape rooms are just 30 minutes long versus 1 1/2 – 2 hours long that many of them can be. This made it feel less overwhelming and more do-able.

Sub Themed Escape Room at Arena Sports Issaquah

They also will give you simple clues on the screen if you need some tips to help you get started or along the way, although you can ask if you’d like to not have any clues, too.

Mayday Escape Room at Arena Sports Issaquah

We tried the submarine themed escape room called “Mayday” & we had to figure out the different tasks around the room to keep the sub from sinking. There were flashing lights & music to make it feel even more “real-life”  as we had to rush to figure out the clues around the room to help us do the challenges to keep us afloat. Definitely a really fun experience for all of us that kept our attention well!

Sports Simulators

Another new experience for us was trying out the Sports Simulator room, which is an immersive virtual stadium feel. This room consists of 3 different sports simulator areas (bays),  which you rent by the hour – rent one or all 3 if you have a big group! You can have 6 people per bay/area.  This is a great activity to do as a group of friends/date night or with your family. Also, a fun option for a birthday party for kids & teens!

Sports Simulator Games at Arena Sports Issaquah

There are 13 different sports experiences to enjoy with over 15 different games.  You’ll find everything from golf, football, soccer, rugby, baseball, zombie dodgeball & more.

Zombie Dodgeball at Arena Sports issaquah

The most popular with our teens was of course Zombie Dodgeball! Ha! They loved trying to hit the zombies & have them “explode” & they had to move really fast, so that was good exercise for them! My husband loved the golf, for sure, but he loved trying out all of the different sports as they have the different sports equipment you’ll need right on the side to switch easily between the games.

As you are taking turns trying the different sports, you can relax & chat, eat or watch tv on one of several large TV’s with live sports coverage. You can also order food & drinks from their restaurant downstairs to be served upstairs while you’re hanging out in the sports simulator room. This was perfect for us as we enjoyed dinner while taking turns trying out the various sports.

Prices currently are $50/hour before 5pm on weekdays & $60/hr weeknights after 5 & weekends (always check their website for current prices)

Inflatable Fun Zone

Arena Sports has a large indoor inflatable playground area for kids ages 18 months – 10 years old. There are multiple bounce houses & activity zones that will be a blast for your kids & a great way for them to burn off energy, especially during the rainy months.

The Inflatable FunZone is actually next to the soccer fields, so if you have older kids who are doing soccer camps or soccer teams, this is the perfect place to hang out with your younger kiddos at the inflatable area.  The inflatable zone is also perfect for meeting for playdates, birthday parties, field trips & more.

You can pay per visit or get a punch card if you think you’ll be there more often. The sessions last 1 1/2 hrs – 2 hrs during weekdays & weekends. If you are looking for a Parent Night Out option, Arena Sports offers Parent Nights Out  events with inflatables, crafts, games, pizza & more.

Soccer

One thing that all of the Arena Sports locations have in common is their indoor turf soccer arenas.  They have soccer leagues for both kids & adults. You can join with a team or if you don’t have a team, they will find you a team. They also offer soccer classes (18 mos & up), soccer camps, & more! They do periodically offer field rental if you want to find a time to meet with friends to play soccer together, too.

Food & Drink Options at Arena Sports – Issaquah

Hamburger at Arena Sports Issaquah

The Arena Sports entertainment center is definitely a place you could spend hours enjoying all of the activities, so I was thankful they had some good food & cocktail options to enjoy as they have a full restaurant and bar on site. They have several places you can eat on the main floor and you can also order food & enjoy it while playing the Sports Simulator games. This is what we did as it was perfect for us to munch on dinner while each of us took turns on the simulator games. You rent out one of the areas with couches & chairs for an hour at a time, so it’s nice & relaxed to enjoy your meal.

But you can also enjoy your food on the main floor, which works out well if the kids want to keep playing the arcade games & you can sit & relax & enjoy a cocktail or lunch or dinner options.

Tater Tot Nachos at Arena Sports Issaquah

The Tater Tot Nachos were definitely a hit with the teens – but I recommend getting forks for each of you as they are messy! Ha! We loved the Buffalo BBQ Wings, too! Delicious flavor – those disappeared so quickly with our teens!  I loved that they had several nice, filling salad options on the menu along with your other standard fare like pizzas (personal size or full size to share), burgers, sandwiches & more.

If you are looking for a spot to host an event, party, corporate meeting & more – they have a dedicated event space, perfect for events. Plus, you can add on some of the activities from the entertainment center, to make the event a real success! This is also an awesome place for birthday parties with various packages to make it a blast for your birthday kid!
