Sharing is caring!

I recently learned about a new website called AfterSchool.com, which is made by the creators of Diapers.com. This is a website featuring sports gear, dance wear, bikes & scooters, athletic footwear & clothing, as well as crafts – basically all sorts of items needed for fun afterschool activities for kids – hence the name of the site! Right now, they are featuring a great online coupon code for 30% off 1 sports item for new customers on your first order . You’ll just need to use the coupon code: AFTER30 at checkout to receive that 30% off discount. {This coupon code is not valid on sale items, though.}

You can also use this 30% off coupon code on their sister sites, such as YoYo.com (which features toy & game products) and Bookworm.com, a site which offers a variety of books from baby –  teenagers.  {Make sure to read the fine print for exclusions as video games/consoles, }. There are actually 9 sister sites which you can use a 30% code if you’re new to shopping their site – make sure to see the full list of 30% off 1 item coupon codes.

You can also get FREE 2 day shipping when you spend $49 or more (across their sites – Afterschool.com, YoYo.com, Bookworm.com & more – you’ll see all the sites listed at the top).  Even if you don’t qualify for free shipping, most items still ship in just 2 days (unless otherwise noted). There is also a free 365 day return policy.

If you’re new to AfterSchool.com, they have a great navigation system on their site to help you find ideas of what you’re looking for more efficiently & quicker. Here are a few ways that you can find exactly what you’re looking for:

Gear Finder: On the home page, you can go to the “Gear Finder” (as pictured above) and search for a specific sports activity that you may be looking for gear, equipment, etc. You can then search by exactly what kind of gear you’re looking for and the age of the child. For example, if you’re looking for soccer gear for your 5 year old, you can choose “Soccer” as the Sport/Activity; “shin guards” for the gear you’re looking for & then select “Little Kid” for ages 5-8 . You can also sort by gender – boys or girls. This way you’ll be directed to a list with all of the available gear that you’re looking for that particular sport.

Gear Gift Guide: If you’re buying a gift for someone or are just trying to figure out what to buy, make sure to check out their Gift Guide for ideas for all of their favorite gifts for a variety of sports, outdoor fun & more all in one place

My Lists – You can also create lists on your account so that if you need to reorder items at a later date, it will save all that information for you in your list.

Contest:

Afterschool.com, YoYo.com and Bookworm.com are having a contest to search for the “Goodest” Kid this holiday season and the winner will win a $5,000 shopping spree to use across these websites.  All you need to do is upload a video with your child telling how they have have been good this year! Ten runners up will win a $100 gift card to shop between the 3 websites. You can submit your videos until December 16, 2012.

Review:

Afterschool.com gave us the opportunity to try out the website first so we could share about our experience with you.  I had fun checking out all the variety of items they have on the site.  I’m definitely impressed with the wide variety of items they feature on their site & the fact that you can use your 30% off 1 item code on an item can make for some great savings (maximum value of discount is $20).

Here are some of the products you’ll find at Afterschool.com, perfect for every age from toddler – teenager::

  • Gear, accessories, clothing & shoes for team sports and individual sports – from every age – baby / toddler – they feature sports such as soccer, basketball, softball, ballet, martial arts and more (the only one I didn’t see that I was looking for was gymnastics but they did have ballet leotards which could be used for gymnastics too)
  • Outdoor activity products like snowshoes, skis, snowboards; fishing equipment for kids, hiking & camping equipment & much more
  • Games for the summer like lawn games, pool & beach games, indoor games & more
  • Arts & Crafts – they have lots of great indoor ideas such as art supplies, craft kits, sewing & knitting supplies & more – all at a kids level. Crayola, Melissa & Doug products & more! They even had Cricut cartridges and other accessories as well as the Cricut machine, which you could use the 30% off code on.
  • Shoes & Apparel – they’ve got name brand items such as Stride Rite, Pediped shoes, Columbia Jackets & much more!

I’m working on finishing up our gifts for our girls & family members, so I headed straight to the craft section. I found that they are having a sale on Crayola products for Buy 2, Get the 3rd item free – using the code: CRAYOLADEAL (this cannot be combined with the 30% off code as that won’t work on sale items; however, you could do a separate, 2nd order to take advantage of this deal.

Here are a few great deals I spotted:

Mini Band Trampoline – $36.80 – after 30% off code, $25.76 + s/h (unless you spend $49 or more) – we recently had a speaker come to our MOPS group who shared how important it is for kids to get some gross motor time & activity to help them concentrate on homework, listening/sitting quietly, etc & she suggested a mini trampoline that you could bring out for when your kids really need to get some good activity in & it’s too wet here in the NW. So I’ve been on the hunt since that talk & found that this is a great price -they are typically around $30 or more in stores or online.

NCAA Washington Husky Deluxe Two Toned Colllegiate Basketball – $18.99, after 30% off code = $13.29

Melissa & Doug Jewelry & Nails Sticker Pad – $4.99 – after 30% off code = just $3.49
