I love that Groupon is a roundup of so many different kinds of gifts that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day – everything from sweet gifts like flowers, jewelry, photo gifts, favorite products & more. Or look for more experience gifts in your local area such as self-care gifts (massages, facials, etc), gifts to the movies or out to eat at a new restaurant or doing fun activities together!

Groupon is a great way to find new local businesses to check out & support while also saving money at the same time! We have discovered new activities we love to try together that we would have never tried without trying it at a discount the first time as that makes you more willing to try something when it’s a lower cost & then you might become hooked to that new activity or favorite small business once you try it!

The Electric Boat Company Rental – Seattle, WA

Looking for a unique Valentine’s gift idea – the Electric Boat Company rentals would be a great option for a romantic date for 2 or bring friends for double-dates or a group activity. You decide the course of your boat ride as any of the adults can drive the boat – so you can go any direction you want & tour Lake Union.

Taking a lake tour in the off-season is a great way to enjoy the lake with fewer boats than the busy summer months + you stay nice & warm on the boat. There are zippered sides to be completely enclosed as well as heated & you can bring blankets to cozy up with, too. Trying something new together is one of the best ideas for an adventure date with your spouse or friends! One of the most popular activities for a date night or as a group is axe throwing! I am completely uncoordinated, but still had a great time learning to throw the axe & play different games they offered as our skills improved.

Valentine’s Day is all about connection, whether it’s with your special someone or your gal pals, so a date at the bowling alley is sure to be great for a lot of laughs and having fun together! Semiahmoo Resort – Blaine, WA 

Want to give the gift of travel this Valentine’s Day? How about a getaway to a gorgeous spot in the PNW during the off-season for an affordable night or weekend away? We found rates as low as $145/nt at the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA, located up on the border of Canada, thru March 2024. We have visited Semiahmoo in the off-season & really love that it’s quieter at the location but with so much beauty all around & so many activities on site to enjoy (beach combing, bike riding with complimentary bikes, pool, giant Chess set & more). Plus, this location is just across the water from the cute town of White Rock, BC & you could easily do a day trip to Vancouver, BC with Semiahmoo as a base. Or visit Mt Baker or Bellingham from this hotel location as well. Great weekend getaway spot in the PNW!

Leavenworth, WA 

The darling Bavarian town of Leavenworth, WA, nestled in the Cascade Mountains, is the perfect spot for a getaway as a couple or with family or friends. This location is beautiful any time of year and the best time to visit is in the off-season when you won’t have as many crowds and can enjoy meandering thru the shops & trying out a few of the many amazing restaurants in town. And the prices can definitely be more affordable during off-season times as well!

Here are a few options we found for Leavenworth getaways on Groupon:

• LOGE Leavenworth Downtown – this location is in the heart of downtown Leavenworth, making it very convenient to access all the shops & restaurants. Rates start as low as $119/nt with two $5 daily dining credits towards on-site food/beverage & 20% off at on-site retail shop
• LOGE Leavenworth Riverside – this location is cabin-style rooms located along the river in Leavenworth. Rates start as low as $79 for a single queen cabin. These are pet-friendly too! You’ll get two $5 daily dining credits towards food/drink at Iconclast Cafe
• Icicle Village Resort – this is a wonderful resort located right in the heart of downtown, but with so many great amenities.
