Well, as you can see,  we’re definitely coming near the end of the back-to-school deals as the deals are definitely slowing down this week at Office Depot.  The stores are starting earlier & earlier every year with the Back-to-School sales. Or at least it seems like it to me as I’m dreading my hubby heading back to work at his high school this coming  Tuesday. The month of August just went too fast for us, especially since he taught summer school full-time during July – so August just seems like it flew by with him being home.   Teachers put in SO many overtime hours during the year that it is wonderful to have that extra time in the summer to spend together.

So, how many of you are all prepared for Back-to-School – clothes, school supplies & everything done? Or are you a procrastinator waiting till the last weekend or even night before?  I know many of you already had your kids start school the past week or two if you’re in other parts of the country, too.

I don’t know what it is, but seems like I don’t have to do nearly as much as I used to in order to be ready for back to school. Maybe it’s because I don’t have girls left at home. My 7 yr old son is 10 yrs younger than my next oldest. He’s the only one still in school. This year we didn’t even go cloths shopping. He still fits all the close I got him last January, and we try to update his clothes all year round so that the cost is not so much at one time. We saved last years folders, markers, backpack, and a few other items. I still have paper coming out the ears from a sale about 5 yrs ago. (it was a really good sale lol) I am a firm believer of stalking up when its something you know you will eventually use!

As for teachers, I understand completely. My brother is a university teacher, and my daughter is in college to be an elementary teacher. Teaching is a love, not a job! Your husband helps to change lives forever, and along the way hopefully they learn something too :)
