Hello Hola Learning Phone – On Sale for $8.50

I am excited to host another giveaway for you and this is a fun one!! A friend from my local Mom’s Club has recently started a new home business with Discovery Toys and she is sponsoring a giveaway to showcase one of their most popular products!!

Just to give you a little background about Discovery Toys, here’s what their website says about their products::

Discovery Toys products are more than just toys! Every one of our products delivers a ton of fun AND builds up the foundation for future learning success and achievement. We offer an array of products that support the development of a variety of skills for balanced learning, and our products grow with your child.

Hoppity Pop Sprinkler – On sale for $10

I know I appreciate finding products that are not just fun for my girls, but also educational and help build a variety of developmental skills. These products are also great because they can be used across several different developmental levels, so your child doesn’t outgrow them right away–there are various ways you can use them to touch on different skills.

Another thing that really impresses me about Discovery Toys is that their products are designed to work well with children with Autism!! As part of my job as a Speech Language Pathologist in the schools, I worked with a number of children with Autism, so it’s great to find products that are specifically designed to work on various skills that children with Autism might struggle with in their daily lives. Discovery Toys actually worked with the Princeton Child Development Institute to come up with a system which parents can use to determine which toys are most appropriate to work on 6 different areas of difficulty for children with Autism. It is called their Autism Support Project, which you can find more information about here. Personally, I think this is helpful information for any parent – to see which developmental skills your child will be working on while playing with a particular toy! It’s also a great feature for educators who are working with children with autism or other special needs – they have some great products that you might want to use in your classroom or therapy sessions!

Motor Works Toy

Here’s a little information about Jena and why she became involved in selling Discovery Toys::

I first became involved with Discovery Toys because my son loved playing with them in his therapy sessions. As a mom of a child with Autism it is very important for me to find toys that he loves but that also help him improve his developmental skills. I found that the line of Discovery Toys work perfectly for this purpose.

Now, for the giveaway– Jena is offering 1 Place & Trace Set ($15 value – pictured above) to a lucky reader! This is a fun set which is appropriate for a wide span of ages – from 24 mos to the primary grades in school. It is a puzzle, cookie cutter, dough mold (for playdough, etc), color-sorting toy and a game. It has 3 trays which each have four different shapes – dinosaurs, animals and vehicles. (This giveaway is only available to US readers)

She is also offering a 10% discount on all Discovery Toys products for Thrifty NW Mom readers. In order to receive the 10% discount, you will need to contact Jena by email (jlkennedy@discoverytoyslink.com) or phone (you can find on her website) so she can put your order in manually. You can also order online, too, though – but the 10% discount is only available by email or phone.

My grandson loves working in the yard with his father. He helped plant the garden. This would be a great addition for his collection of outdoor toys.

  7. I am searching for a Discovery Toy boardgame I played with my kids and now wish to play with my grandkids.
Can you help me find it?
It's called "Go For It" and is a word-based game that gives a list of categories with lists of words. The object of the game is to build words from a jumbled pile of letters according to the 'lists'.
