I appreciate all of you who have taken the time to fill out the Thrifty NW Mom reader survey. Your input has been very valuable to me & one of the main suggestions I’m hearing is  that you would like to see more deals for Portland & surrounding areas since I have a number of readers from Oregon.

So, I am excited to introduce you to a new group buying site for the greater Portland area.  It’s called “It’s Just Deals” & they have just launched with their first deal this week.  The unique aspect of “It’s Just Deals” is that they are locally owned & operated, only featuring deals in Portland at this time, so they can put all their focus on finding the best deals for those in Portland.  They started this group buying site as a way to feature more small businesses, as well as more businesses in the greater Portland area.

A unique aspect to “It’s Just Deals” is that not only can you print off your voucher similar to the other group buying sites, but  you can also receive your voucher as a text message and use the text message to redeem your deal.  I know I like that option as I have had those moments where I printed off the voucher & headed out to a restaurant or attraction only to find the voucher missing or left at home.  Having the voucher sent as a text message solves that problem for those of us who are a little forgetful! :)

“It’s Just Deals” has their first deal this week and it’s for 50% off at the Malu Day Spa in Portland.  You can receive $100 worth of services for a Foot Bath, Scalp Treatment, and either a Facial or Massage for just $50. This deal ends tonight at 11:59pm, so make sure to check it out soon.

Make sure you sign up for “It’s Just Deals” emails as well so you can be the first to know about the deals as they come out each week. And if you have any suggestions about local businesses in the greater Portland area that you think should be featured, you can let them know by clicking on the “Feedback” tab at the bottom of their homepage.

I am pleased to work with It’s Just Deals as a sponsor to provide this information for you. All opinions are 100% mine.  Please see my disclosure policy for more details.

  1. I purchased Dave’s Killer Bread vouchers from this site from a link you posted on your blog. Now their website won’t load to print off the voucher. Is this site out of business? Am I out my money? Have you heard anyone else having trouble with this site? They won’t respond to my emails, either.
