Ingredients

Scale
  • Thinly sliced beef (can often find it at your local Asian Market, or use Flank Steak)
  • 1 Seasoning Pack for beef pho (often found where they sell Vietnamese grocery items)
  • 1/2 c. of bean sprouts per person
  • 1 Lime
  • Basil leaves (Thai Basil is best if you can get that)
  • 1 Pack of rice stick noodle (these are in the refrigerated section) or 12-Ounce Package of Bahn Pho or Udon Noodles
  • 1 Bunch Green Onions
  • 1 Small White Onion
  • Small Bunch of Cilantro
  • 1 Jalepeno
  • Sirachi Sauce, Chili Garlic Sauce and Hoisin Sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the broth according to instructions on package.
  2. On a separate plate lay out the Bean Sprouts (rinse before serving), Sliced Lime, Thai Basil Leaves and sliced Jalepeno
  3. Bring broth to a low boil, and then pour in serving bowls and add onions, meat and cilantro to taste to broth
  4. Once you are ready to serve add the Rice Stick Noodles (or prepare according to package instructions if you purchased a different type of flat rice noodle) and then add to broth just before serving.
  5. Put the plate of bean sprouts, lime etc in the middle of the table, along with the sauces and serve each person a bowl of Pho. They can add the extra veggies and sauces to make the soup their own!
