Venardos Circus Family Friendly Traveling Circus

Venardos Circus Reviews + Ticket Discounts – Family Friendly Traveling Circus

If you’re looking for fun entertainment that the whole family will love, make sure to visit the Venardos Circus, a traveling circus that is in the Puget Sound area this June to August.  This is a small but mighty circus with a lot of heart and talent, performing a show that will keep you smiling & laughing the whole time. It’s really a show that the whole family will enjoy, from the littlest kiddos to the adults – the time just flew by as we were entertained by the various acts.

Vendardos Circus Ringmaster & Founder

The Venardos Circus was created by former Ringling Bros Ringmaster Kevin Venardos who wanted to create a new kind of animal-free circus, with a Broadway style musical style meets classic circus acts. Fans of The Greatest Showman will love the variety of singing, dancing,  acrobatics, aerial acts, juggling, comedy, daredevil acts, magic & more. You get a taste of all of the classic circus acts performed in a tasteful, entertaining way.

There’s not a bad seat in the house, either, as you are seated in the red & white Big Top, intimate-sized tent with seats all around on 3 sides, and you can feel like you are right up close & center to see everything so clearly. The big top makes for some pretty backdrops for photo opps, too, during the show & before/after the show.

Venardos Circus Finale

Vernardos Circus Tacoma Show!

We loved how personal the show was — at the start of the show, the ringmaster shares his story of his little circus with big dreams & how he followed his dreams & vision to create this old-fashioned, nostalgic circus focusing on the performers’ talents & creating memories for families & communities to come together as one group to enjoy & have fun. Loved hearing his passion & encouragement for following your dreams, believing in the heart of others & the strengths that come with a diverse community.  His circus has a diverse community of performers from around the world such as Hungary,  Cuba and Romania.

They may be small in size (just 15 people in the cast & crew) but you’ll see the performers not just on stage, but taking tickets,  running concessions, doing face painting & more.  Each & every performer really puts their heart into every aspect of this show to make it successful & enjoyable for all their guests.

For being a small circus, the acts were very impressive & varied in the different talents they showcased.  We loved seeing so many different things from daredevil acts, magician tricks, clown antics with audience participation, as well as the acrobatic & aerial skills of these performers.

Verandos Circus Reviews – Our Favorite Things:

We visited the Venardos Circus Tacoma event during a previous year, and have based our Venardos Circus review on that experience.

The flexibility, strength and balance of this acrobatic couple was so impressive!

Venardos Circus Tickets

This is a  mother – son juggling duo from Hungary & they showed off a variety of juggling techniques which just require some serious talent & hand eye coordination! Yet they made it look so easy, talking & moving around the whole time!

Loved watching this family of acrobats – even their daughter got into the act!

Things to Know:

Here is what you need to know before visiting the Venardos Circus events with your family!

Time

Venardos Circus Pre Show

The show lasts about 1 1/2 hours with about a 10 minute intermission. However, they encourage you to come early as the doors open an hour before the show starts.  This is the pre-show party which is an interactive show that is geared towards the little ones especially. They had opportunities for audience participation with activities like kids learning to juggle on stage as a group,  learning magic tricks, and taking pictures with the clown (he’s not creepy at all, no wig or makeup – he’s hilarious!).

Seating

There is no assigned seating (with the exception of the VIP & Premium seats you can pay  extra for), so when you arrive early, you will definitely get the best seats up close (but like I said,  there are no bad seats). But if you like to watch everything really close, then definitely get there soon after the tent opens.

Parking

The parking will vary depending on the venue, but there should be plenty of free parking you can find (especially at the STAR center)

Make sure to get there early if you want individual photos with a few of the cast members such as the ringmaster & founder,  the clown, & more.

Venardos Circus Photo Opp

Plus, at the end of the show, the entire cast stays up on stage & you can get in line to get photos with your cell phone or camera (a staff member will take the picture for you). No charge at all for the cast picture at the end,  either.

Souvenirs

They do have some fun souvenirs to purchase if you’re interested – t-shirts & a variety of fun light-up toys.  One of the performers also offers face painting before the show (during the pre-show party) & during intermission.

Food

They serve classic circus food which the kids loved – popcorn, cotton candy in a bag, pretzels, sno-cones, and candy. Plus, they have drinks such as bottled waters, bottled apple juice & homemade pink lemonade.  I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for an entertainment venue, too. {You cannot bring in any of your own food/drink.}

Since we went to the evening show and it was such a beautiful evening in the park,  we got take-out & brought our dinner to Wright Park.   Eating take-out outside on a beautiful night in a park or at the beach is one of my favorite things!

Enjoy the Park

If you’re headed to the STAR center, the SERA park right on site has some awesome playgrounds (kids will seriously love the variety of things to do on this playground) and the sprayground is a blast too!

Let us know what you thought of the Venardos Circus show!!

  1. How can I contact Venardos Circus? Several years ago at the beginning of Covid I had purchased tickets to a show in Pecan Grove, Texas. The performance was canceled and my purchase was never refunded. I was never able to find a way to contact them for refund. I assumed they went out of business due to Covid. I now see they are back and performing very near Pecan Grove ,Texas. Do you have their contact information.
    Thank you

    1. Hi Phyllis, We don’t have their contact info, but we would suggest contacting them via their social media – Facebook or Instagram channels are your best way to contact them by leaving a comment or sending them a direct message. Hope you can reach them!
