This gorgeous weather definitely has many people out in their yards trying to spruce them up & getting some pops of color in the ground to brighten things up for spring. If you’re in the market for plants, check out a big plant sale at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, starting tomorrow Thursday 4/25 – Sun 4/28. This is an excellent opportunity for you to support the Environmental Education Club at Lincoln High School. All proceeds go directly back into the student programs. Even better, their prices should match or beat the prices at local stores – so you’re saving money & supporting school programs!
Some of the plants that you’ll find at the plant sale are annuals (marigolds, petunias, geranium, lobelia, etc), perennials, hanging plants, vegetable starts (tomatoes, zucchini, cucumber, etc), strawberry plants, herbs native plants & much more. You can see pictures & full lists of plants on the Lincoln Plant Sale website or check out the Lincoln HS Plant Sale Facebook page for new, updated pictures of what’s in stock at the sale!
Lincoln Plant Sale Dates:
Thursday April 25: 11am-5pm
Friday April 26: 2:30-5:30
Saturday April 27: 9am-3 pm
Sunday April 28: 9am-3pm
The Lincoln High School greenhouses are located at 3600 S. G St (between South 35th and South 36th St) in Tacoma. If you pass the greenhouse on your left (coming from 38th), there will be a large parking area where you can park inside & take the back path leading to the greenhouse. If you’re heading to the Tacoma mall, it’s just 5 minutes away (on the other side of the freeway). So, make sure to stop in & check out the large selection of plants!
