Small Business Saturday – Share Your Business & Support TNWM Readers

Today is Small Business Saturday – it’s a day when you can show your support for your favorite, local small businesses in your area as you do your Christmas shopping. This is a great reminder to shop within your community and remember all that these small businesses have to offer.  It’s also a day to support those who run a small business online. This year, small businesses absolutely need the support – especially those retail shops & restaurants which have lost so much traffic from people in their stores.

We thought that Small Business Saturday would also be the perfect time to give our Thrifty NW Mom readers the chance to share if you have a Small Business – whether it be a local, small business here in the Northwest, an online business such as an Etsy shop or Facebook page for your handcrafted items or if you’re a consultant for a business such as Scentsy, Pampered Chef, & more.

Since it’s also Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend, it’s a great opportunity for you to not only share about your business, but let us know if you have any specials going on this busy shopping weekend – or even better, if you have a special deal just for Thrifty NW Mom readers.

We’re looking forward to seeing the variety of small businesses that all of you readers are involved in and hope it will be a great opportunity for the Thrifty NW Mom community to support each other!

How to share your business / sale:

I’ve set up a Linky so that you can have a link directly to your site and so it’s easier for the readers to connect with your business.  You’ll need to put the name of your business & a very brief description of a sale that you’re offering  & if you have a special coupon code – this all needs to go under the “Link Title”. The actual link to your business will go under the “URL” .  If you have further information about your business or if you do not have a website to link to, you can leave that information as a comment on this post.

**Click on the small “blue” box that says “Add your link” at the bottom of this post

{If you don’t have a link to a business, feel free to leave a comment with your information on this blog post!}

Example:  Pacific NW Crafty Gals – Use coupon code: THRIFTY for a 20% discount on your purchase (thru 11/29)
This would be what you would put for the title under “Link Title”

Here are a few guidelines:

    1. Leave the link to your website or blog on this blog post only – if you don’t have a website but have a local business, then feel free to leave the specific information for the business.
    2. It’s best to leave a link to your business website, Etsy page or Facebook Fan page. However, if you don’t have a website and want to leave your email address in the comments,  I recommend typing it out like this to avoid spam comments (thriftynorthwestmom (at) gmail (dot) com.
    3. Small Businesses must be family-friendly since this is a site for families  – we will delete those links/comments that are not family-friendly or that we feel are not appropriate for a small business listing.

Are you looking for face coverings for your kids?

I have been looking for covers for my kids and there aren’t many comfortable options. There are a few on Amazon and Walmart, but my kids aren’t big fans…

Several weeks ago my mom gifted us some face coverings she made and they are amazing! My kids love them and actually wear them for long periods of time! I suggested she sell them because other kids would love them too and she decided to!

With the upcoming flu season and a Covid vaccine a ways off, as well as the CDC saying to change your face coverings every day, we figure face coverings might still be in demand. School will eventually be back in person and we all know kids (and adults) hate wearing face coverings. My kids (and I) have found these face coverings to be really comfortable and easy wear because you can talk with them on without them slipping off your nose. They provide space in the mouth area but close on the nose and chin.

The face coverings are 100% high quality cotton with a double layer. Ear loops are made with stretchy elastic that can be beaded or tied to adjust. They are washable – I usually iron them afterwards to keep their shape.

If you would like to purchase a face coverings, the costs are as follows:

Kids face coverings ages 2-5: $6/face coverings (Measurement: ~6 3/4” wide, ~4” high peak to peak)

Kids face coverings ages 6 and up: $7/face coverings (Measurement: ~7 3/4” wide, ~5 ¼” high peak to peak)

    3 face coverings for $18

These face coverings are handmade and all unique. We will try to match your preferred color, however supply is dependent on fabric availability.

This face coverings is not in any way a medical face coverings, a direct substitute for N95 surgical or procedural face coverings and are not FDA approved.

Due to safety/sanitary considerations, all sales are final. No exchanges or returns.

Cash/Paypal/Venmo accepted. Located in South Federal Way.
