Tomorrow, Saturday February 16th, the Seattle Art Museum will be hosting a FREE family festival to celebrate the opening of the Seattle Art Museum’s special exhibition, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough: The Treasures of Kenwood House, London.  The family festival will be taking place between 10 am and 3pm.

It sounds like a fun day where they will have art & wig making, portrait workshop, kids tours, dance lessons and live music performances. Kids will also have the opportunity to make their own costume designs (I know my girls would be totally into that!).  You will also have the chance to go on a family art adventure & check out the galleries.  If you have a child that’s interested in the arts, this sounds like a great way to expose him or her to the Seattle Art Museum in a fun way.

While you’re there, you may want to check out the  Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough: The Treasures of Kenwood House, London exhibition as well as its companion exhibitionEuropean Masters: Treasures of Seattle.  These exhibitions are not included with the free festival,  it will be an additional fee for adults and children 13 & up (kids 12 & under are always free).
