Enjoy a Live Science Show, Planetarium open house, Tinker Tank maker space, and a laser program. Also open are our Tropical Butterfly House, PACCAR IMAX Theater, and our hands-on exhibit areas.

They do also offer free memberships to any youth in foster care, who are homeless (and their caregivers) or youth being raised by a relative or kinship caregiver. Those details are here.

Pacific Science Center Membership Sales & Deals – right now they are offering 10% off memberships. That makes the family membership $157.50. If you plan to visit more than once over the year, or if you are a large family, this can be a better deal for you in the long run.

So if you like to travel, and visit spots on this list, then using one of the savings methods above to get a membership could help you save big over time and visits!

Pacific Science Center Imax Tickets

The Pacific Science Center Imax theater is one of our favorites. It is the largest theater screen in Washington and offers 2D and 3D experiences. It is lots of fun watching movies inside the Pacific Science Center Imax theater, either as part of your visit in general or just to see a movie. The Imax theater does not offer reserved seating, so you will want to arrive early for the best pick of seats. Pacific Science Center Imax Theater tickets are offered in two different categories. Imax Premium Movies, and Imax Documentaries. They are priced as follows:

A couple of updates now that the Pacific Science Center is back open again:

Homeschool Days – They used to offer special homeschool days. It looks like they may have discontinued that, but do offer group rates (explained above) if you wanted to get a couple of homeschool families together to visit under those rates.

Note – The Pacific Science Center use to be included with Seattle’s CityPass program, but it is no longer on their list of included attractions. We will update it here if we see it return as part of that program.

The Artists at Play playground at the Seattle Center is a fun stop for kids with the Space Needle in the distance.

There is so much to do in this area of Seattle for families, and they even offer a free shuttle down to the waterfront if you wanted to make a full day out of your visit. Right at the Seattle Center is my kids favorite playground.

The Artist at Play Playground – Seattle Center

Another thing my kids love to do when they visit the Pacific Science Center is to go early and visit the Artist Playground at the Seattle Center and the Water Fountain on a warm day. You can read our review here on that if you want to make a full day of fun at the Seattle Center!

You can also check out our Staycation Seattle article for more ideas on fun things to do in the Seattle area, if you want to plan a day around a visit to the Pacific Science Center.
