Ikea: Free Umbrellas on March 29th at locations near stores

*Update: There has been some confusion regarding this event – Ikea stores will not be giving away the free umbrellas -you will not be able to go to an Ikea store to get this free umbrella. However, if you follow the Ikea Twitter page for your local store (here’s the Ikea Seattle Twitter page) – they will  share where they will hand out these umbrellas as we get closer to the event – most likely by the day before). So, follow the Twitter page to learn where you can go to get your FREE umbrella from Ikea. It will be at locations close to the Ikea store locations – but I’m not sure if that means within 5 miles away or within 30 minutes away like in downtown Seattle, for our area – so stay tuned to their Twitter page!  I have confirmed directly with our Seattle Ikea store that this will be taking place somewhere around our area.

On Friday March 29th, Ikea will be offering FREE Ikea family umbrellas nearby Ikea store locations to help usher in the rainy season & “April Showers” (oh, I hope that’s not true here in the NW). This will not be taking place inside stores; however, at locations around these stores.

The giveaway is part of the national IKEA Random Acts of Life Improvement project.

In order to find out where the location will be for your local store, you will need to follow your local Ikea store on Twitter  to learn of the giveaway location.  {The Portland store is not participating in this event.}

You can follow the Seattle Ikea store on Twitter – they should be sharing the location of the giveaway the day before the event.
