Free Day at Point Defiance Zoo – Tacoma Residents

Sharing is caring!

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 27th, is “Tacoma Free Day“. All residents of the city of Tacoma can visit the zoo and aquarium for FREE all day long!!! If you are a resident within the city limits, you just need to bring proof of residency in order to visit for free!! See all the details here! And remember, they now have the camel rides going on at the zoo all summer long ($5/ride)!

While you’re in Tacoma & at the zoo, you may want to check out the Taste of Tacoma which is going on all weekend!! It is also at Point Defiance Park, from Friday thru Sunday, June 28th. Here’s what you’ll find:: 32 restaurants, five stages of entertainment & a comedy club.

For more great, free (or frugal) events going on around the Puget Sound/western WA area, check out some fun ideas from Centsible in Seattle!

Looks like Bellevue’s having it’s annual Strawberry Festival…yum (I love anything to do with fresh berries)!! Too bad we’re going to be busy packing to head out of town on Sunday. Don’t worry, though, I’ll still be posting deals for ya & hopefully getting a bit caught up on more regular posts! We’ve decided to join my husband at a teacher conference he’s attending on the other side of the mountains, so I’m sure I’ll have plenty of time during naptimes in the hotel to blog! :)

  2. Thanks for the heads up, we're not tacoma residents but were thinking of heading there tomorrow to check out the camel rides. Now I know to make other plans!
