We only have a day and a half left of 2011 – it seems like this year just flew by! The end of the year means that a number of coupons & deals are expiring, so make sure you’ve checked to see if there are any deals you want to take advantage of at the last minute!
Coupons & Rebates:
- Insert Coupons – Many of the longer-lasting coupons will be expiring at the end of the year, so make sure to go thru your coupon binder now to see if there are any that you’re wanting to take advantage of before they expire. {If you keep your inserts together & clip coupons as you get ready for shopping trips like I do, then this list of expiring inserts will be very helpful from Simply Frugal Mom)
- Printable Coupons – Don’t forget to go through the printable coupon sites to print off any coupons that may be going away tomorrow that you would like to use.   {You’ll want to clean out all your expired coupons now as there are going to be 4 coupon inserts this coming Sunday! Woo-hoo! You’ll need lots of room & I’d definitely encourage you to buy multiple papers this coming Sunday to take advantage of all those coupons! }
- Rebates – There are also a number of rebates expiring here on December 31st – make sure to go thru & see if you’ve bought all the items needed to qualify for your rebate. I also recommend sending your rebate as soon as you’ve finished acquiring the items so you don’t forget. Make copies of your rebate info before you send it, too, & keep it in a separate file so you can check on any you haven’t received in awhile
Use for Expired Coupons:
Did you know that if your coupons are expired, military members stationed overseas can still use your coupons. Â They can use the coupons at overseas military bases for up to 6 months past their expiration date. Wouldn’t this be a great time to package up all your expired coupons & send them to the Overseas Coupon Program?!
Also, Frugal Living NW has set up a program to send coupons to soldiers & their families overseas at a military base in Japan. She includes very specific information regarding how to send your coupons to these families in Japan.
Group Buying Site Deals:
I just realized that I had several deals that I’ve bought thru the various group buying sites that are expiring on December 31, 2011. Â So, I encourage you to go thru all the Group Buying sites that you’ve used & see if you have any deals that you can still take advantage of before they expire tomorrow.
Here is a list of some of the group buying sites that will have expirations on their deals:
