Giraffalaff Limbo & Scattergories Scramble Preschool Games
My family had the opportunity this week to try out two new games which are on the market now! They are from the Elefun & Friends Collection – Giraffalaff Limbo & Scattergories Scramble Preschool Games! My Blog Spark & Hasbro sent us both games to try out as a family and let me tell you, my 3 year old absolutely loved both games!!
Giraffalaff Limbo was a fun, silly game! My daughter had never played limbo before, so that was a riot trying to watch her try to figure it out! :) The spinner tells you how to travel under the limbo stick, but we sometimes modified it for her as she wasn’t quite coordinated to move all the ways they suggested. I think this game would make a great party game for the preschool crowd!
Scatterpillar Scramble was a fun game, too, and it was a game that we all enjoyed quite a bit! I was amazed by how much better my daughter did than I did, seriously! It is a great game to challenge your fine motor skills and I guess mine must have been lacking that night! ;) What you do is place marbles on the Caterpillar’s legs in specific spots, starting from the bottom and going up to the top. The first person to place all their marbles & get to the top wins. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, then they add music & have the caterpillar move in wacky ways & it gets harder as you move up. I had the hardest spot on the end and boy, it was hard to get those marbles to stay put! My daughter did pretty well, though, I was surprised! The only thing you want to consider with this game is that it is definitely not for the younger crowd with the small marbles! We have to keep this game up high and only bring it down when my baby is napping- as I know she would put those little marbles into her mouth first chance she could get!
We definitely enjoyed both of these games, though – I highly recommend them as a great way to interact as a family and have fun! My daughter has been asking to play both of these games over and over, so you know they were a hit with her!!
Added Bonus: Here’s something I didn’t know – each Elefun & Friends game has a special code inside the box that you can use to access the Elefun & Friends site, where kids can watch a short animated show & play games.
$4 off Coupon to buy the games:
If you’re interested in buying one of these games or any in the Elefun Friends collection (Hungry Hippo, Gator Golf, & Elefun), you can go HERE to print off a $4 off coupon for any of these games!! The coupon is valid thru 12/31/09 (maybe you’ll even find some really great deals on Good Friday)–but it can only be printed thru October 31, 2009. So, make sure you don’t forget to print them now!!
Now, here’s the fun part – one lucky Thrifty NW Mom reader will have a chance to win a Elefun & Friends Gift Pack from My Blog Spark & Hasbro. This gift pack includes both games: Giraffalaff Limbo & Scatterpillar Scramble.
