Tacoma News Tribune Subscription Deal – No Longer Available
*Update: This deal is no longer available – they do not currently have a multi-subscription deal for couponers at this time!
*********************************
For those of you who live in the South Sound area, this is best deal available right now to get multiple subscriptions of the Tacoma News Tribune! The best way to take advantage of all the bargains at the grocery & drug stores is to have multiple coupons, which means buying multiple Sunday papers. Many of the grocery store catalina deals will require that you buy 3 or 4 of an item to receive the highest value catalina – which means it’s best to have that many coupons to go along with the sale.
If you’re debating between the Tacoma News Tribune & the Seattle Times, you’ll want to know that the Seattle Times will not include the Red Plum inserts. The Red Plum inserts are now mailed mid-week to those who live in King County. So, if you’re not in King County, then you will never receive any Red Plum inserts if you only buy the Seattle Times. Therefore, the Tacoma News Tribune is the paper you’ll want to get for the best selection of coupons if you’re in the South Sound area.
The News Tribune is offering a special Thrifty NW Mom subscription deal so that any subscriber can get multiple Sunday papers delivered to your door – for just $1.25/issue. PLUS you’ll now get the one paper delivered daily, Monday thru Friday included in this deal for FREE.
I have found over the several years that I’ve been couponing that it is much easier to have the paper delivered to me than to remember to go out & buy my multiple copies each Sunday. It also saves on the gas if you’re making a separate trip just to buy your papers! Even better, if you go on vacation this summer – you can put a vacation hold on your papers & get them delivered when you return – so you don’t miss out on any of those great coupons while you’re gone (& unable to buy the paper in the stores).
News Tribune Subscription Deal::
Price is for $1.25 per Sunday paper delivered to your door. You’ll also now get one paper delivered daily Monday thru Saturday for FREE as well.Subscribe for a minimum of 3 Sunday papers delivered (you can get up to 6 papers delivered) for the News TribuneSubscription will be for 26 weeks (6 months)Make sure to ask for the “Thrifty NW Mom” Sunday paper subscription deal! This subscription deal is open to ALL subscribers unlike previous subscription deals where it was only open to new subscribers (or those who hadn’t had a subscription for over 30 days). If you currently have a subscription to the Sunday paper (or the weekly paper) - this subscription deal is in addition to your current subscription. So, if you already have 1 Sunday paper delivered and you order 3 more subscriptions, then you will have a total of 4 Sunday papers delivered to your house.
2 Pricing Options: Pre-payment or EZ Pay Option:
Pre-payment:
Prepayment is required for this offer. You may pay by check, debit or credit card. Based on a 26 week subscription, $1.00 per copy (example: $1.25 x 3 copies x 26 weeks = $97.50)
3 Copies $97.50 $1.25 x 3 copies x 26 weeks= $97.50
4 Copies $130.00 $1.25 x 4 copies x 26 weeks = $130.00
5 Copies $162.50 $1.25 x 5 copies x 26 weeks = $162.50
6 copies $195.00 $1.25 x 6 copies x 26 weeks = $195.00
EZ Pay Option:
You may pay by check or credit. EZ-pay payments are deducted from your checking, debit, or credit card account each month. You can have the deduction made on 5th, 15th, or 25thof each month. The price is slightly better if you do the EZ pay option as some months are 4 wks or 5 wks depending on the financial calendar. So, the price is $5.41/month per copy.

4 Copies $21.65 per month 6 months = $129.90

Hi Thrifty NW Mom, I live in Port orchard and wanted to know if there is a better newspaper option for me? Will the same coupons that TNT have be in the silverdale paper for example?
Excited to take advantage of this deal! I’ve been thinking and re-thinking about actually buying 3 papers every sunday, but makes it a great deal!. 4.33 a month? Yes please!
You mean $4.33 a week?? I just did this deal and they are charging $16.24 per month…Still a good deal, totally beats going to the dollar tree every week. I live really close to a $tree but they sell out first thing Sunday morning, limit how many you can buy and are usually missing some coupons…Thanks for this deal!!
Thank you so much for this!! I was paying around 50 bucks a month for 6 papers!! This saves me lotsa money!!
I am moving to Kent next week…what would you recommend if I am only interested in buying 1 Sunday paper? Which paper? And is there a deal for that? Or is getting three just as cheap as 1 at regular price? Thank you!
Wendy – If you’re moving to Kent, then you should receive the Red Plum by mail, so this subscription may work well for you since it’s only a 1 paper deal (not multiple subscription deal like the other deals). Either that or buy the Tacoma News Tribune for $1 at Walmart, Dollar Store, etc. It would be more expensive to get the 1 Sun paper delivered for the TNT. I’m not sure exactly what price that is, though to see if it’s more expensive than 3.
I just wanted to comment that while this may be a good deal to some, I already get my sunday news paper at the dollar tree for $1 and it’s right down the street, so no waste of gas there.
Will all dollar stores in the Seattle/Kent area have the newspaper? And which should I buy then? Tacoma News?
I would still recommend buying the Tacoma News Tribune or other local newspaper which will have all the inserts, instead of the Seattle Times if you’re buying it from the Dollar Tree, Wendy (since the Times will not have the Red Plum). I don’t know that all dollar stores will have them, but I have heard from numerous readers around the Puget Sound area that do find them at their local Dollar Tree (I’d call your local store just to be sure).
Hello -
I live in Sea Tac and wanted to take advantage of this deal. Will they deliver the TNT to me here? If I get the seattle times I wont get redplum and will only get one by mail rather that get multiple copies. Thanks
WHAT??? $4.33 a month, I don’t get it.
I just ordered my Tacoma News Tribune with the Thrifty NWMom coupon code. I will be getting the 3 copies of the Sunday paper with a daily paper delivery M-Sat. I was suprised when the paper said they were going to debit my account with the EZ pay plan $12.99 a month. When I read the brake down of the copies that was posted (see below) I read $4.33 per month..
How does my $12.99 per month brake down to the posted $4.33 a month.
Humm, I am going to try this for a month and see if it pays off but I would rather pay $4.33 a month so If I am missing something would someone please let me know.

EZ Pay Option:
You may pay by check or credit. EZ-pay payments are deducted from your checking, debit, or credit card account each month. You can have the deduction made on 5th, 15th, or 25thof each month. 3 Copies $4.33 per month x 3 copies x 6 months = $77.94
I don’t understand either…three copies a week at $1.25 per copy is $3.75 per week….am I missing something? I signed up for the 3 copies and they said it would be 16 something every month…
nevermind i get it…three copies altogether comes to $4.33 per week…duh…Ü
Woo to the hoo! I am all in. Thanks for setting this deal up for us! I’ve been going to the Dollar Store on Mondays but this just saves the trip.
Do you have any suggestions on how i would get coupons since i live in the Everett area? Is there anything good that i can subscribe to?
Thanks!
You are paying $4.33 per copy, per month!! Since you are getting 3 copies of the Sunday paper, then you have to pay $4.33 for the first one, $4.33 for the second one and $4.33 for the third one…hence $12.99!! They aren’t just going to give you three copies for the price of one!!
do you have any suggestions I live in north kitsap and the tribuine does not deliver out here kitsap sun or seattle times kitsap suns sunday papers are .99 on special right now but do not know how long its kind of like a price match i told them the tribunes deal and they put me on hold for awhile
If I live in Federal way should I be getting red plum in the mail? because I dont receive it.. Also , it comes in the news tribune? I think its a good idea to sign up for this deal? I get the seattle times but, only 1, the news tribune sounds better? suggestions thoughts? tnx
I also buy the Sunday paper at Dollar Tree stores. But, you MUST check & make sure there are no coupons missing! Especially the Albertson’s double coupons. I’ve missed them several times, so now, each time I buy, I check each paper. **this has only happened to me at the Lakewood Towne Center store. **
I just called to sign up for this. :) They informed me that it’s now $1.25 per copy instead of $1 but it still seems like a great deal! :)
Maria – Thanks for commenting – I realized today that our main page here needs to have the updated prices – we did mention that in our weekly post, but forgot to update here.
I just moved into the Queen Anne area and was wondering what newspaper works for me, also I want to start doing the coupon deals but want to try with one newspaper first and see if it works for me. Please send me your suggestions and feel free to give me some advice I am totally lost with this subject.
I was just trying to renew my subscription today and was told that the news tribune is no longer taking this coupon and is charging 2.25 per paper per week. is there someone speciffic i need to talk to or is this deal over?
Becky – Unfortunately we have just learned that they are no longer offering this subscription either. My subscription just ended as well & there are not any options for couponers right now. :(
I also just received this notice….and am kicking myself for not having paid more than 6 months in advance on my last renewal. I wish there was something we could do. This is nearly double what I had been paying and it’s making me question whether it is worth continuing to get it delivered. Did I once see you post that the dollar store sells papers? Does it include Sunday? Do they come out on Sunday there or is it the following day?
I also recieved the notice that the rates would be changing on Oct. 29th. I called the Tribune today to cancel my 6 copy subscription and was told they have recinded the rate increase and it will remain at 32.48 per month. I am not sure if they are accepting new subscriptions this way but for those of us that still have active subscriptions this is great news.
Hey I ws just wondering if this coupon code is still good? Thanks.
Hi Dana,
Unfortunately it is no longer a valid deal. We will be sure to post again if it does become available though. Thanks!
