This is what we love- when store sale, store coupon & manufacturer coupon align to make for a fabulous deal!  This time it’s on Breyers Ice Cream at Safeway.  Breyers is on sale for $2.99 this week at Safeway, plus there is a $5 off $15 frozen food coupon in the ad this week AND there are a couple manufacturer coupons available for print!

Printable coupons available:

Now- these are my 2 scenarios based on just buying Breyers Ice Cream.  If you don’t want to buy just ice cream you can most definitely come up with other frozen food scenarios- just make sure you buy $15 of frozen items in order to use the $5 off $15 frozen food coupon.

DEAL IDEA #1 – if you have access to at least 2 computers

Buy 4 Breyers Blasts! Ice Cream – $2.99 and
Buy 2 other Breyers Ice Cream – $2.99 (can be Blasts!, but doesn’t have to be)
Subtotal = $17.94
Use $5 off $15 frozen food purchase found in 8/8 weekly ad (or load to card online) AND
Use (4) $.75/1 printable coupons for Blasts! from facebook.com AND
Use (2) $.50/1 printable coupons for any Breyers Ice Cream from coupons.com
Final Price: 6/$8.94 ($1.49 each)***

Fine print states only 2 identical coupons per transaction, so you will only be able to use 2 of the $.75 off blast coupons. We will see if we can find another to add to this scenario. Thanks to all of the commenters, for pointing the fine print out to us!

DEAL IDEA #2 – if you have access to just 1 computer

Buy 2 Breyers Blasts! Ice Cream – $2.99 and
Buy 4 other Breyers Ice Cream – $2.99 (can be Blasts!, but doesn’t have to be)
Subtotal = $17.94
Use $5 off $15 frozen food purchase found in 8/8 weekly ad (or load to card online) AND
Use (2) $.75/1 printable coupons for Blasts! from facebook.com AND
Use (2) $.50/1 printable couponsfor any Breyers Ice Cream from coupons.com
Final Price: 6/$10.44 ($1.74 each)***

Anytime I can get ice cream for under $2.00- you can plan on me having a couple cartons in my freezer!  My husband & kids are going to love this deal!

I just wanted to say that I have $1/1 breyers blast on Safeway JustforU savings. The price for the first scenario would be $1.41 each and the second would be $1.57 each. Gonna get me some icecream today!

Love when those Just for U deals line up to make an already great deal even better!

How do I use 6 different coupons, when it says “1 coupon per purchase”?

Kelsey August 10, 2012 at 3:16 PM

Your buying 6 purchases.

Sia August 10, 2012 at 4:26 PM

Hi Mary,

Kelsey is correct, generally the 1 coupon per purchase means ‘one coupon per item’. Every once in a while you may run into a checker who interprets it to mean per total purchase – but that is rarely the case. Hope that clarifies!

Yvonne August 10, 2012 at 3:14 PM

both coupons say that you can only use 2 identical coupons though! so using 4 in one transaction is not really right. ;o)

Sia August 10, 2012 at 4:17 PM

Yvonne, you are correct – we had overlooked that fine print. Thanks for bringing that up. So the second transaction example in the post is correct (you can use 2 same coupons per transaction). Thanks for pointing that out, we will update the post.

Kelsey August 10, 2012 at 3:51 PM

Maybe the others can answer better but When you print from two different computers the numbers are all different. I am going to try. It could also be each store is different and may take them.

Sia August 10, 2012 at 4:20 PM

Hi Kelsey – I think we made an error in the initial post. The second scenario should be correct – but the first one probably is not.

You are correct, you can use one coupon per item purchased – but this particular coupon does state that there is a maximum of 2 identical coupons allowed per transaction. Since coupons should always have different serial codes on them I take that to mean that you can only use two of the same item per transaction. I just printed one of the coupons to confirm the fine print.

Hope that clarifies :)

Thanks!

I just did the second scenerio, but with 4 Breyer’s ice creams and used two blast coupons and two regular Breyer’s ice cream. I then got two boxes of the Yosicles for $2.99. I had a (2) $1 off Yosicles. So $11.96 for the Breyer’s and $5.98 for the Yosicles. Total $17.94

Cpns: (2) $.75/1 Blasts
(2) $.50/1 Breyer’s
(2) $1/1 Yosicles
Total after cpns= $13.44 – $5/$15 cpn = $8.44 or $1.41 each

my printer jammed, twice!
so i only got one of each coupon ):
