Safeway & Albertson’s Cereal Deal – Today Only!
March 10, 2010

I’m just getting caught up after being off the computer all last night & today and found this awesome cereal deal going on at both Albertson’s & Safeway! But, you’ll have to hurry as it will only work today (Wednesday March 10th)!! It looks like your best bet is Safeway, although it’s still an awesome price at Albertson’s too!
Here’s the catalina deal (thru today) at both stores:
Buy select Kellogg’s cereals (Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Froot Loops, Corn Pops, Cocoa Krispies, Honey Smacks)
If you buy 3, get a $1 catalina back
Buy 4, get a $3 catalina
Buy 5, get a $4 catalina
Safeway also has a Buy 5, Get $5 instant savings promotion (so make sure you buy your cereal in groups of 5)
Even better, I’m hearing reports that there are blinkie coupons on the cereals mentioned (as well as on some of the healthier Kellogg’s cereals, which unfortunately are not included in the catalina deal, but the coupon will make these a better price). So, make sure to look for the blinkie coupons (little blinkie machines right in front of the cereal boxes)
Here’s how to work the deal (once you buy your 5 cereals, you can “roll” the catalina & do the same deal again if you choose using your catalina to pay (although you may need to add in an extra item to use up all of your catalina)::
Safeway::
Buy 5 Kellogg’s select cereals (Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops, Cocoa Rice Krispies) $1.50 each (reg. $2.50-when you buy 5, instant $5 savings)
Use 5 $.70/1 blinkie coupons
(If you can’t find these, there are $1/2 coupons in the 3/7 Red Plum insert – use 2 of these)
Final Price: $4 (if using the blinkie coupons) and receive a $4 catalina back = 5 FREE boxes of cereal (after catalina & coupons)
Use that catalina to roll the deal & buy another 5 cereals {just be courteous & don’t clear the blinkie machines of all the coupons}
Albertson’s:
Buy 4 Kellogg’s select cereals – priced at $1.88/ea ($7.52 total)
Use (2) $1/2 coupons from 3/7 Red Plum insert
Final Price: $5.52, Get back $3 catalina = $.63/ea (after catalina & coupons)
Thanks Krazy Coupon Lady & Frugal Living NW!

Charmin 24 roll pack & Bounty 15 roll pack just $1.74 at Safeway! Tuesday only!
March 2, 2010

Update: I just did this deal myself & my math was slightly off – this should be $13.48 total you’ll pay (+ tax) and then you will get the $10 catalina for your next purchase. This means your final price (including catalina) will be $3.48 for both packs or $1.74 each.
Wow, there is a great deal going on today only (Tuesday March 2nd) for very inexpensive Charmin & Bounty at Safeway (& affiliates). There is a Proctor & Gamble (P&G) special promotion going on where you spend $25 and get back a $10 catalina (coupon to be used on your next purchase).
Charmin & Bounty are 2 products that are included in this special promotion – but this will only work thru Tuesday March 2nd! Also, when you buy 2 big packs of Charmin and/or Bounty, the price will drop from $12.99 to 2/$9.99 each

Here’s how it works:
Buy 1 Bounty 15 double roll pack -$12.99 (mine ended up being $13.99)
Buy 1 Charmin 24 double roll pack – $12.99 (mine ended up being $13.99 for 24 pk & price dropped at register to $9.99)
{$6 instant savings when you buy both the Charmin & Bounty big packs-price drops to $9.99/ea}
-Use $3 P&G Saver e-saver coupon (load onto your Safeway card)
-Use $3 Charmin P&G e-saver coupon (load onto your Safeway card)
-Use $.25 Bounty manufacturer’s coupon from 2/7 P&G insert
-Use $.25 Charmin coupon from 2/7 P&G
Final Price: $12.98, Receive $10 catalina from P&G promotion = $2.98 for both Charmin & Bounty or $1.49/each!!
{The price is calculated on the $12.99 original price of the Bounty & Charmin}
This is an absolutely amazing price on that much toilet paper & paper towels!! You’ll definitely want to head out today and try to take advantage of this deal if you’re anywhere near a Safeway store! I know I sure will be heading out to get this cheap toilet paper & paper towels! Something we can always use more of and we were even debating making a trip to Costco on Sunday to get really stocked up on these 2 items….but who needs Costco when you have couponing?! Right?
Let us know how this deal works for you! A number of people tried this deal Monday night with success, so hopefully it will go smoothly for you, too!
Thank you to Bargain Blessings & Frugal Living NW for this awesome deal!

Jimmy Dean $1/1 Coupon = $1 Sausage Rolls at Safeway this weekend!!
February 27, 2010

Today and tomorrow (Saturday & Sunday), Safeway is having a sale on Jimmy Dean Bacon, Sausage Rolls, & fully cooked selections for just $1.99. If you head over to Jimmy Dean’s Facebook Fan page & become a fan, you can print a coupon for $1 off Jimmy Dean Sausage Rolls. This makes the Jimmy Dean Sausage Rolls $.99/each this weekend only!! {For some reason, I had difficulty getting my coupon to print yesterday & haven’t tried yet today. Let me know if any of you have problems!}
Here’s the scenario:
Jimmy Dean Sausage Rolls – $1.99 (Sat & Sun only)
$1/1 Jimmy Dean Sausage Rolls printable coupon
Final Price: $.99
And don’t forget the Safeway Post Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal & Milk deal is going on now!! I went yesterday and bought 4 gallons of milk & 4 boxes of Honey Bunches of Oats (& used the blinkie coupons found right in front of the milk in my store). I paid a total of $9.56 and received a $3 catalina. I then used the catalina on my next transaction to buy a few more groceries. So, my final price (including the catalina) was $6.56 for all!!
{A catalina is the coupon that prints from a small box by the register after you have paid for your transaction. Catalina coupons can either be manufacturer’s coupons or “On your next order-OYNO” coupons – which will take a total dollar amount off a future transaction. For a great explanation of what Catalina coupons are, check out this post by Frugal Chic Living.}
Thanks for the great tip on the sausage, Tara!! Tara posted this on the Thrifty NW Mom Facebook page - you’ll find all sorts of great tips from other readers there so make sure to check the fan page occasionally as I’m not always able to post all of them due to time constraints, but there are always some great deals!

February 15, 2010

Just as soon as I posted the last post about the Right Guard coupons resetting, I found out about more sources for the Right Guard coupons. UPDATE: My husband went out tonight to our local Safeway to get more free deodorant & found that the sale is actually going on thru Tues Feb 23rd (not ending tomorrow as we thought!). It said that right on the sale tag at our local store – you may want to check with your store to make sure, though!!
If you don’t have a Safeway around, you can get the trial-sized deodorant for FREE at Target using this $2/2 coupon. This is good thru Saturday. Using all of these coupon sources, that’s a lot of FREE mens deodorant!
Here are all the places you should be able to find the $2/2 Right Guard Deodorant coupons:
$2/2 Right Guard Deodorant (coupons.com)
$2/2 Right Guard Deodorant (smartsource.com)
$2/2 Right Guard Deodorant (coolsavings.com)- you will need to register first for the free e-newsletter-this is a good site for coupons & freebies, though – make sure you use an alternate email address as I always suggest so your regular email doesn’t get bogged down with extra emails.
Thanks Deal Seeking Mom!
