I mentioned that Target will be having their big 75% off toy clearance coming very soon – the prices are at 30-50% off right now (keep checking – it could change on Wed or Thurs, so let us know if you see any changes tomorrow). I still think it will be happening next week as that’s the time frame it started last year. I checked last night & there were still no changes at my Target store (Sunrise Puyallup).

Not only is Target having big toy clearance sales, but Kmart & Fred Meyer are also having clearance sales on their toys.  I haven’t had a chance to check out these two stores yet, but hopefully will be heading there Friday after the busyness of working at Vacation Bible School all week is over.

Kmart is starting up their Double Coupon event on Sunday 4/4 and running thru Saturday 4/10.  The double coupon event is finally back in the Northwest – my local store is participating and I know a number of WA stores are participating as well as some OR stores & 2 stores in Boise, ID.  You can see the whole list HERE.  {I found the NW stores starting around page 24- 25}

How the double coupon event will work:

-Coupons will be doubled up to $2 in value or up to  the price of the item.  If you have a $2 item and the price is $3.25, then it will double up to $3.25 (no overage)

-In order to have your coupons doubled, you need to have a “Shop your Way” rewards card. Register for a card online (you’ll be able to print a temporary membership card) or you can get one in the store.

-You can only double up to 5 coupons per day. This will be enforced by tracking them thru your Shop Your Way rewards card. Hopefully this means that their supply won’t be depleted right away!

Not only were there Albertson’s doublers in the Sunday paper yesterday, but there was also a high-value coupon for Snuggle Fabric Softener.  Most areas contained a $3 off 1 Snuggle coupon in the Red Plum insert from 3/28 (they were in my Tacoma News Tribune & Seattle Times papers). They don’t expire until May 2nd, so you have some time to use it in case you want to wait for a better sale at your local store.  However, you can find some great deals this week!

I’m sure we’ll be seeing some deals at Rite Aid & Walgreens in the near future, too, so you might want to think about buying extra Snuggle coupons from a site such as The Coupon Clippers (this is the site that I always use)-they are supposed to put up more Snuggle coupons on Tues morning, or you can check Ebay.

UPDATE: Kmart is no longer accepting this coupon – they have told some people it is fradulent and others that it’s only accepted in NY. However, this coupon was posted on the main Kmart website – I verified that fact before I posted it yesterday & it stated it was available to use in all areas. Unfortunately, Kmart must not have realized how popular it would be, so they have instructed the stores to no longer accept them.

Wow, another *hot* coupon – Kmart has a $10 off $20 coupon available right now and it’s a PDF coupon.  It looks to definitely be a legitimate coupon as it’s found on the Kmart website. However, this coupon may only be available for a short time, so you might want to print off your copies now!  I’d definitely print in color, if you can, to make sure you don’t have any problems with your store accepting these. The expiration date says 5/15/10.  It does say the $10 off is before taxes & after other discounts (this will vary on your store whether they consider the other discounts to just be Kmart discounts or manufacturer’s coupons).

This would be a great coupon to possibly use with the Kmart doubles that are coming at the beginning of April.  Or you can use them on a few possible scenarios I’ll show you:

Huggies Diapers:

Buy 2 packages of Huggies diapers – around $9.99 each (might be slightly higher in our area so you may not need the filler item)
Buy a $0.50 filler item (gum, candy, etc)
Total = around $20.50
Use the $10 off $20 Kmart coupon
Use two $3/1 Huggies coupons from here (you can hit the back arrow & print again; if you have access to more computers,  print 2 on each computer)
Final Price:  $2.25 per pack .

*The Thrifty Couple is reporting that there should then be a $3 off Kmart rewards catalina (to be used on a future purchase) that will print from the register if you buy these 2 packs of diapers. So, including the catalina – that makes it $.75 per pack of Huggies Diapers!!  This will work only if  your cashier will accept the $10/$20 before manufacturer’s coupons.

For months now, the Northwest has not been included in the Kmart doubles events.  However, that’s finally changed as Kmart just released the list of all the stores participating in Kmart doubles, starting April 4th. You can find the list HERE.  There are a number of WA , OR  & ID stores participating.  Check & see if your local store is listed! I’m excited that my local store is participating.

How Kmart doubles work:

-You can use coupons up to a $2 off value.

-Maximum of 5 manufacturer’s coupons per day can be used to double

So, you’ll want to start scoping out the coupons you can use for that sale now! Typically most printable coupons are valid for about a month, so you can start printing them off now to use for the sale starting April 4th.  Look for those higher-value coupons up to $2 for the best value when doubled!
