Restaurant.com is offering 80% off of gift certificates! They have certificates for different amounts, but the most popular gift certificate right now is the $25 gift certificate which you can buy for $10. With the 80% off coupon code, the final price for the gift certificate is just $2. The coupon code is: DATE and will be good from January 26 until January 31st.

Here’s how it works:

Head to Restaurant.com and put in your zip code
Search for all the restaurants in your area (or if you’re going on vacation to a new area, etc).
Add those restaurants into your cart and head to checkout when you’re done.
Use the coupon code: DATE at checkout and hit “apply” to get your 80% discount.
You’ll then receive the 80% off discount on all of your purchases!
You can either print off your gift certificates right then or just wait until you’re ready to use them & log into your account to print them off.

When using the $25 gift certificate, you do need to typically spend a minimum of $35 (excluding alcohol), read the fine print as there are some restaurants requiring a $50 minimum. For a $35 minimum, you’ll spend $10 plus the $1 for the certificate = $11. You’ll also pay the gratuity on the whole amount or they will add a 18% gratuity to the original amount. (It will explain all of that in the fine print before you buy – make sure you read all the exclusions).

Example:

Spend $35 on your meal
Use $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate
18% gratuity on $35 dinner (most restaurants will add the 18% gratuity, if not, you’ll need to pay tip on the original amount before gift certificate)
Pay $10 + $6.35 for gratuity (if at 18%)
+ $2 for cost of Restaurant.com gift certificate
Total Cost: $18.35 + tax

Starting this Thursday January 12th, Starbucks will be offering a FREE coffee tasting event, where you can try the Starbucks Roast Spectrum. You can then vote for the roast you like the most. *Update: According to FB fan Jasmyn, you will need to call your local store to see what time they will be offering this as it will be during a 3 hour time period.

When you’re done, it says they will send you home with “a little something as a thank-you” (wonder what that will be?). This event is taking place from Thursday January 12th – Saturday January 14th. {If you live in Canada, they will have the same event Thursday February 9th – Saturday February 11th.}

Restaurant.com is back with their 90% off sale on dining certificates. They offer different amounts, but the most popular gift certificate is the $25 gift certificate which you can buy for $10. With the 90% off coupon code, the final price for the gift certificate is just $1. The coupon code is: JOY and this coupon code will be good thru Saturday, December 24th.

Here’s how it works:

Head to Restaurant.com and put in your zip code
Search for all the restaurants in your area (or if you’re going on vacation to a new area, etc).
Add those restaurants into your cart and head to checkout when you’re done.
Use the coupon code: JOY at checkout and hit “apply” to get your 90% discount.
You’ll then receive the 90% off discount on all of your purchases!
You can either print off your gift certificates right then or just wait until you’re ready to use them & log into your account to print them off.

Spend $35 on your meal
Use $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate

One way to stretch your savings at stores is by taking advantage of special bonus deals for gift cards that come around during the holidays.This is a great strategy for those stores where it’s hard to find sales or specific items that are on your Christmas list or just a much-needed item that never go on sale. Or maybe the latest technology device that came out that won’t be on sale for quite some time! All it takes is a little strategizing to figure out how to maximize these gift cards to your advantage.

These bonus gift cards are also a great way to save on dining out. If you have a particular restaurant (or several restaurants) that you enjoy going to during the year, then buy those gift cards ahead so you can receive the bonus coupon or gift card. If you have coupons to use at the restaurant later, that will also give you additional savings.

Just make sure to read the fine print on the offers first, as there may be certain restrictions of when you have to use the gift cards (they may have only a limited amount of time to use the gift cards).

Starbucks is offering a special this week for their holiday drinks - Buy 1 Holiday Drink, Get 1 FREE! This special deal on their holiday drinks will be from Thursday November 17th – Sunday November 20th between the hours of 2pm & 5pm. {not to be combined with other offers or discounts}. The drinks included are: Gingerbread Latte, Peppermint Mocha, Skinny Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, & Eggnog Latte.

So, what is your favorite Starbucks holiday drink? I may not be a coffee drinker, but I’m slightly obsessed with the Peppermint Hot Chocolate! I actually tried a Peppermint White Hot Chocolate the other day at Starbucks, but it was actually too sweet for me. So, I’m sticking with the Peppermint Hot Chocolate from now on – perfection!

{Update: Peppermint Hot Chocolate is not technically included in this Holiday Drink promotion. However, they had a similar promotion last year at this time & my store did allow me to get a hot chocolate in place of a coffee. You might want to call & ask your store ahead of time. A facebook fan suggested that you could also just ask for a Peppermint Mocha without the Espresso & hopefully that would be similar.}

Regal Cinemas – Free Small Drink with Popcorn Purchase

Regal Cinemas have started offering coupons to use at the movie theater once again, but this time they are mobile coupons. All you need to do is head over to the Regal Cinemas Facebook page, “like” the page, and then click on the “Weekly Coupons” tab. You will need to enter your mobile phone number to receive a text with the coupon code (no printed coupons will be accepted).

This week’s coupon is for a FREE small soft drink with a popcorn purchase. This mobile coupon will be valid from Monday November 14th – Sunday November 20th.

How many of you will be heading to the new Twilight movie coming out on Friday November 18th, just 2 days away (or maybe you’re going to the midnight showing tomorrow night?) I have to admit that I’m not a Twilight fan (never read the books or watched the movies, but after all I’ve been hearing about it, maybe I will just have to check it out here soon).
