Today is Thursday, April 1st, the day that Old Navy is supposed to introduce a  new coupon hunt thru their Facebook page.  It hasn’t happened yet, but make sure to become a Facebook Fan of Old Navy & then click on “Barker’s Bones” to find out how to look for new in-store coupons.

Good news that the $50 off $100 coupon will still be available (wasn’t sure if they’d bring back the high-value coupons) – hopefully by having it on Facebook, it will keep it more regulated since you should only be able to get 1 coupon per week.

Today, they also revealed (hee-hee) a new Old Navy Facebook Page – One Day Wonder Boy. It’s, um…interesting. But, basically they will be promoting their One Day Sales, which are where they offer 1 hot deal available typically on a Saturday, and only while supplies last!

This Saturday April 3rd, they will offer Old Navy Classic Polo Shirts for just $5/each.  These may go fast, so make sure to get there early if you want your choice of colors & sizes.

{Tip: If you’re in the store before Saturday, you can buy your polo shirt ahead of time& then go back & price-adjust only on the day of the sale – just bring in your receipt. I’ve done this several times before & it worked great. I even had an Old Navy clerk suggest that I do it when I was in the night before! }.

Also, at Old Navy this week – their new Item of the Week from Friday April 2nd – Thursday April 8th,  is the Men’s Packable Jackets. They are on sale for $9 (regular price $19.50).

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Old Navy Weekly will be stopping as of April 1st.  Well, it looks like they have a new plan where you can still find high-value coupons to use in Old Navy stores.  Check out this update from the M80 site:

So, you’ll definitely want to become a Facebook Fan of Old Navy, so you can keep up-to-date on this new game “Barker’s Bones” (click on the tab at the top of their FB page) they’ll be starting this Thursday April 1st.  I’m curious to find out how well it will work as it seems there have been issues with Facebook promotions in the past with other companies & the amount of traffic they receive.

You’ll also notice a message on the Old Navy Weekly site -it looks like they’ve finally decided to stop Old Navy Weekly on April 1st.  So, they will no longer have this coupon-hunting site (it says they’re moving??)…however, they said there will still be opportunities for coupons and this time they’ll be coming to you.  Wonder what this means? Many of  you may not realize that the Old Navy Weekly site has actually been going since the beginning of March last year- so I’ve been wondering how long they’d have this promotion going.  Let’s hope they have a fun, new promotion in store for us!!

UPDATE:: I’ve heard from at least 4 people now who have tried their stores (including 2 WA stores) and have not found the extra 50% off clearance! I heard about this deal from several large bloggers as well as saw tweets from ON stores on Twitter (we don’t usually see an announcement about the extra 50% off – it’s just spread around thru social media)- but it’s sounding like  this is only select Old Navy stores! So, definitely call your store ahead of time to find out if they’re participating – so you don’t make an extra trip & are disappointed!!

Good news –  Old Navy has their extra 50% off clearance sale going on now in their retail stores!!  This sale will be going on thru Tuesday March 2nd! I love their 50% off clearance sales – always  find some great deals, although I strongly recommend going at the beginning of the sale & not the end, like I did last month-they were pretty limited in their selection!

{Tip-Make sure to call your store to see if they’re participating-a reader went to her local store & found out  they were not participating, so call ahead!}

Wow- I can’t believe it’s almost the end of Thursday! In case you missed my update on Facebook a few days ago, Old Navy is having a BIG sale this weekend – their entire store (with the exception of gift cards) will be 30% off! This sale will only be taking place on Friday Jan 29th & Sat Jan 30th!  This also means that they won’t be updating Old Navy Weekly with new coupons until Sunday!  You can read all the details at the M80 newsroom.

JCPenney Clearance Sale:

This is definitely the time of year for all the big clearance sales – JCPenney is reported to have started their sale today (Fri 1/22) with extra 50% off clearance prices.  Their current clearance is already marked at 50% or higher, so this means that the clearance will be 75% off retail prices.  For example, a shirt that retails for $19.99 would have been on sale for $9.99 (with 50% off). With the additional 50% off clearance starting today, it would be $4.99 (75% off retail).  Thanks Bargain Jargon!
