Safeway & Albertson’s Cereal Deal – Today Only!
March 10, 2010

I’m just getting caught up after being off the computer all last night & today and found this awesome cereal deal going on at both Albertson’s & Safeway! But, you’ll have to hurry as it will only work today (Wednesday March 10th)!! It looks like your best bet is Safeway, although it’s still an awesome price at Albertson’s too!
Here’s the catalina deal (thru today) at both stores:
Buy select Kellogg’s cereals (Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Froot Loops, Corn Pops, Cocoa Krispies, Honey Smacks)
If you buy 3, get a $1 catalina back
Buy 4, get a $3 catalina
Buy 5, get a $4 catalina
Safeway also has a Buy 5, Get $5 instant savings promotion (so make sure you buy your cereal in groups of 5)
Even better, I’m hearing reports that there are blinkie coupons on the cereals mentioned (as well as on some of the healthier Kellogg’s cereals, which unfortunately are not included in the catalina deal, but the coupon will make these a better price). So, make sure to look for the blinkie coupons (little blinkie machines right in front of the cereal boxes)
Here’s how to work the deal (once you buy your 5 cereals, you can “roll” the catalina & do the same deal again if you choose using your catalina to pay (although you may need to add in an extra item to use up all of your catalina)::
Safeway::
Buy 5 Kellogg’s select cereals (Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops, Cocoa Rice Krispies) $1.50 each (reg. $2.50-when you buy 5, instant $5 savings)
Use 5 $.70/1 blinkie coupons
(If you can’t find these, there are $1/2 coupons in the 3/7 Red Plum insert – use 2 of these)
Final Price: $4 (if using the blinkie coupons) and receive a $4 catalina back = 5 FREE boxes of cereal (after catalina & coupons)
Use that catalina to roll the deal & buy another 5 cereals {just be courteous & don’t clear the blinkie machines of all the coupons}
Albertson’s:
Buy 4 Kellogg’s select cereals – priced at $1.88/ea ($7.52 total)
Use (2) $1/2 coupons from 3/7 Red Plum insert
Final Price: $5.52, Get back $3 catalina = $.63/ea (after catalina & coupons)
Thanks Krazy Coupon Lady & Frugal Living NW!

Victoria’s Secret Rewards Card is Back Starting March 2nd!
March 1, 2010

For those of you who took advantage of the Victoria’s Secret mystery reward card in November…it’s coming back starting tomorrow, Tuesday March 2nd. On the Victoria’s Secret Facebook Fan page under “Spotlight” (down on the right side under “Events – March 2nd”) it says “Get your Secret Rewards Card now when you make a purchase in stores, via catalog, or online at Victoriasecret.com. It doesn’t say anything about a minimum purchase (last time you had to make a minimum purchase of $10), but we’ll know for sure tomorrow!
So, the way it will work is that you will make any purchase (I think it will be a minimum $10) at Victoria’s Secret (online, in stores, or catalog) and you will be given a mystery card worth at least $10 – but possibly even up to $500. A reader last time was right behind someone in the store who had a $500 gift card! Wow! So, you just never know!
All you need to do is hold onto your Secret Reward card and you can redeem it April 1st – April 30th in stores, online or by phone. At that time, you’ll find out the value of your Reward card (whether it be $10 or even up to $100 or $500).
Thanks Hip2Save!

Walgreens – Possible FREE Purex!!
February 28, 2010

Ooh, this is a *hot* deal if you have still have Purex coupons from last Sunday. Walgreens has a sale going on this week on Purex 2x liquid detergent (Mountain Breeze or Natural Elements Linen) -50 oz size. This sale is actually going on all month long on a mega-saver sale. If you have the Purex Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon from the 2/21 Red Plum insert (last week), you should be able to get this FREE at your local Walgreens!
Here’s the scenario:
Purex 2x liquid detergent, 50 oz size (Mountain Breeze or Natural Elements Linen) – Buy 1 at $5.99 – Get 1 Free
Use {1} B1G1 free Purex coupon from 2/21 Red Plum insert
Final Price: FREE
{If you don’t have any left of this coupon or want more, you might want to think about buying the 2/21 B1G1 free coupon on Ebay or a coupon clipping site such as Coupon Clippers. This coupon does expire Sat 3/6-so you’d need to use it this week. If you order today, you should get it Thurs or Fri (at least that’s been my experience the few times I’ve ordered from Coupon Clippers).
The question is whether your Walgreens will let you use a B1G1 free coupon on a B1G1 free sale. I have always had luck at my stores being able to do this and I just called my local store & the manager said that it’s worth trying, to see if it will work. He didn’t have a problem, if the coupon was accepted by their registers. However, other stores may give you a problem with this. Someone on Hip2Save’s site emailed Walgreens & got an email back, which sounded like they would allow 1 coupon (even if it’s “B1G1 free”) to be used on a B1G1 free sale. However, they would not allow 2 single coupons to be used since you’re already getting the one item free (does that make sense?).
So, I will be heading out soon to try this. I missed out on the Fred Meyer deal since they pulled the catalina deal early…so I could use some more detergent & FREE is awesome! Let us know if you try this deal & how it works for you!!
Thank you, Collin, for this awesome deal!
