Today’s Groupon Deal of the Day for the Seattle area is 2 tickets to the Smith Tower Observation Deck for just $7 – these are regularly $15, so this is a savings of over 50%.  Children under 5 & under get in free.  This is a great deal for not only those local to the Seattle area, but also those of you planning to travel to Seattle in the next year (you have a year to use the tickets) & want to take in this great sightseeing opportunity at a reduced cost.  I have never been up to the Smith Tower Observation Deck, so I definitely think we’re going to buy this deal.

I spent about $100 on these items, but saved almost $300!   This is such a great time to stock up on gifts – I was able to buy gifts for my girls, my nieces & nephews & other family members, as well as gifts for my mom to give her grandkids. And all those birthday parties during the year!  I was so thankful that my mom was down visiting to help me out as I did a small coupon class last night & it just happened to be during the Target toy clearance time – so I was able to shop without kids both days – thank you MOM!

Good morning! I just checked some of the coupon forums & also the Thrifty NW Mom Facebook page. It looks like some stores will be starting the 75% off clearance today although other stores could be starting tomorrow, depending on their schedule for marking toy clearance!

A big thank you to Facebook Fan Sarah has let us know that her Target store in New York has their toy clearance at 75% off today.  So, it’s definitely worth checking today but don’t worry if your  store hasn’t been marked down yet . Family Christian Stores have come out with a new coupon which you can use in-store or online at FamilyChristian.com. The coupon is for 25% off any regularly priced item or 10% off any sale priced item.  The coupon expires Sunday August 8, 2010.

Lands End has some awesome deals going on right now in their Overstock department for Swimwear clearance.  You’ll find Women’s swimsuit separates for as low as $3.99/each.  This is an amazing price for high-quality swimwear.  I personally have bought a swimsuit from Lands End before & I have been extremely pleased with how well the swimsuit has held up over the years.  I also really like the fact that you can sort the swimsuits by size, price, body style, bra type, anxiety zones, etc. They list the features for each swimsuit & what it enhances  or minimizes, which I like so that I can quickly find the type of bathing suits I’ll be interested in.

Their prices are typically MUCH higher, so this is a great opportunity to order a few different styles to try out – just make sure you read the return policy carefully.

The great thing about this sale is that it shouldn’t be as crazy as their 1 day deals since it’s spread out over 3 days, but I’d still try to head there early in the sale to make sure they don’t run out.   I’m definitely going to head there to pick up a few of these camis myself, as it’s a great item to stock up on & use throughout the year!
