You might be surprised to know that Amazon can have some great deals on school supplies & sometimes even beat the prices in the stores. They are actually having a big Back to School sale today, Thursday August 16th and are having some great deals!

I was just comparing prices & found that Ticonderoga pencils are on sale at Amazon for just $2.18 for a 12 pack of pencils + FREE shipping when you spend $25 or use Amazon Prime. This is 55% off the regular retail price.  I was just in Target yesterday & the Ticonderoga pencils were $2.79/12 pack. The best part is that you can shop from the comfort of your home & save time & money when you shop at Amazon.

Ticonderoga pencils are the preferred brand by teachers, so these may very well be on your school supply list as they were on mine.

Even better, go thru Ebates to save 3% on your purchase at Amazon. Let us know what great deals you find on Amazon for school supplies.

Find more Amazon deals on Thrifty NW Mom.  And don’t forget that when you search the web using Swagbucks, you can earn Amazon gift cards for further savings at Amazon. Read more about using Swagbucks as your search engine to earn gift cards as you search the web.

Hi Juanita, If you log into your ebates account you will be able to then select to shop at Amazon. That will take you to the Amazon website where you would shop for the pencils as usual. The 3% cash back for your purchase will be added to your ebates account, then every 3 months they will send you a check for the cash back you have earned as long as it is more then $5.01 (otherwise it will roll over into the next payment period). Hope that clarifies the process some for you. You can check out Ebates FAQ page her for more info – http://www.ebates.com/help.htm?navigation_id=18571
