Restaurant.com is back with their 90% off sale on dining certificates. They offer different amounts, but the most popular gift certificate is the $25 gift certificate which you can buy for $10. With the 90% off coupon code, the final price for the gift certificate is just $1. The coupon code is: JOY and this coupon code will be good thru Saturday, December 24th.
Here’s how it works:
- Head to Restaurant.com and put in your zip code
- Search for all the restaurants in your area (or if you’re going on vacation to a new area, etc).
- Add those restaurants into your cart and head to checkout when you’re done.
- Use the coupon code: JOY at checkout and hit “apply” to get your 90% discount.
- You’ll then receive the 90% off discount on all of your purchases!
- You can either print off your gift certificates right then or just wait until you’re ready to use them & log into your account to print them off.
When using the $25 gift certificate, you do need to typically spend a minimum of $35 (excluding alcohol), read the fine print as there are some restaurants requiring a $50 minimum. For a $35 minimum, you’ll spend $10 plus the $1 for the certificate = $11. You’ll also pay the gratuity on the whole amount or they will add a 18% gratuity to the original amount. (It will explain all of that in the fine print before you buy – make sure you read all the exclusions).
Example:
- Spend $35 on your meal
- Use $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate
- 18% gratuity on $35 dinner (most restaurants will add the 18% gratuity, if not, you’ll need to pay tip on the original amount before gift certificate)
- Pay $10 + $6.35 for gratuity (if at 18%)
- + $1 for cost of Restaurant.com gift certificate
- Total Cost: $17.35 + tax
