Albertsons is currently running a Gift Card Promotion through the 26th and this is a great one. When you spend $100 on participating gift cards, you will receive a coupon for $20 off a future purchase of groceries (printed at the bottom of your receipt).
And guess what? There is no minimum purchase to use the gift card! However, the coupon cannot be used on purchases of gift cards and will expire in 7 days. There is a limit of 1 per transaction.

I wish Disney gift cards were included like they were last time at Albertsons. I was hoping to pick up more for our upcoming Disney trip in 2012.
Wait, I’m confused. You purchase a gift card, receive a coupon for $20 off a future purchase of groceries, and there is no minimum purchase to use the gift card? Is there ever a minimum purchase to use a gift card?

I tried to do this at my Albertson’s store in Portland, OR and they knew nothing about it. Bummer.
Can’t understand why they didn’t honor this in Portland. My sister and I live in Hillsboro and we did 10 transactions for the gift card promotion. Got all the kids gift cards and walked away with 200.00 in vouchers for the groceries. They were great at the store. My understanding is that this promotion is not limited to only certain locations, I’d suggest talking with the manager (if the promo is still on, can’t remember the end date)
But only $100.00. I went in and purchased a $200.00 Lowes card thinking I would get $40.00, but only received the $20.00. And once the gift card is activated they cant return it to do 2 transactions. However I have a great Albertsons with great custer service and the manager gave me a $20.00 gift card to make it what i was trying to do. I used my $200.00 to buy the combo grill on Lowes black friday sale!
