Now, if you’re thinking that you’ve already got your child’s costume for this year – buy ahead!! This is one of the best tips for deal hunting - buy ahead when items go on a deep discount! So, look for next year’s Halloween costume or buy it for a fun Christmas or birthday gift if you have a child that LOVES dress-up! That would be both of my girls!
We took advantage of their $2 Halloween costume sale 2 years ago (it was several days after Halloween, though, so more limited) & bought several of the plush costumes (monkey, butterfly) for just $2! Not only did my kids use those costumes all year for dress-up, they then had their costumes set for the next year. AND we’re still using those costumes for dress-up two years later. The Old Navy plush costumes last forever. Seriously – if they can withstand my kids wearing them for dress-up as many times as they do, they are some tough costumes.
Old Navy is also reported to have at least an extra 30% off clearance prices and possibly even 50% off clearance prices, depending on the store you go to. I am so wanting to head out to my store tonight to check it out, but we just promised our girls a fun movie night. So, I might have to wait till tomorrow!
