Update: Zaycon’s website has been running very slow due to the number of people who have been trying to order, but they shared on their Facebook page that they will not run out of chicken tonight, so try again later tonight or wait till tomorrow & see if the site is working better & faster!

Zaycon Foods will be back  to Washington, Oregon, & Idaho this October, with their sale on boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The boneless, skinless chicken breast is on sale in 40 lb boxes for $1.49 a pound – which is even better than last year.  This is a STOCK-UP price – I will most definitely be buying a case (or maybe even 2) at this price. If you don’t think you could use 40 lbs of chicken or don’t have the freezer space, considering sharing an order with a friend.

You will need to pre-order the chicken at the Zaycon Food website starting at 5pm pst tonight (Tuesday September 27th) & it has sold out very quickly the last few times they have had this sale. Considering this is the lowest price they have offered, I can guarantee that this will sell out even faster this time. So, make sure to register now, so that you’re ready to buy your chicken when the event opens up at 5pm.  (The order window is only available thru Saturday October 1st, 2011)

Zaycon’s chicken is  100% fresh, natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients. The reason Zaycon Foods can bring you these lower prices is that they bring the chicken directly to you from the farm, which means that you will need to do some prep work before freezing the chicken (trimming the fat, etc). The chicken  arrives in 4 10 lb bags for a total box of 40 lbs of chicken.    Make sure to check out my post last fall with pictures & more details on Zaycon Foods chicken.

If you’re not in the Northwest, Zaycon Foods has now expanded & is delivering their awesome products (meat & produce) to numerous areas around the country, as far as the East Coast. So, make sure to check out the Zaycon Foods website & see if your area is included. If it’s not included yet, sign up for their email newsletter & they’ll notify you when they expand to your area (it also helps to sign up so they see that there is interest in that area).

Has anyone ever tried the bacon?

Jen September 27, 2011 at 3:42 PM

I haven’t tried it myself, but I know friends who have tried it & thought it was great! We just don’t eat bacon all that often around here. I should split it with a friend sometime, though.

My sister has done the bacon, they love it!

Paula – I haven’t tried it, but I’ve heard it’s great from friends who have tried it – thicker cut with less fat.
