There are 2 great bowling promotions going on right now for the summertime that you’ll want to check out as great options for frugal family fun or even a cheap date night!

Here’s one for children or adults:  AMF Bowling Alleys – they have a new coupon available for Buy 1 Get 1 FREE bowling.  All you have to do is pay for a bowling game & you’ll get a coupon for a FREE game.  Just sign up for AMF Bowling’s e-club & you’ll be sent periodic coupons & discounts throughout the year.

Find an AMF Bowling Alley location near you.  For those in the NW, here are some of the locations: Imperial Lanes/Seattle; Sun Villa Lanes/Bellevue; 20th Century Lanes/Portland; Firebird Lanes/Salem, OR; Albany Lanes, OR; Pro300/Portland, OR.

Kids Bowl Free - This free summer bowling for kids promotion also was going on last summer & it’s a great indoor activity for those days when it’s just too hot or humid to be outside (I know many of you have been having a heat wave in other parts of the country) or too rainy (which we had been experiencing).  You can sign all your kids up for this program & they  can bowl up to 2 free games a day at participating locations (you’ll just  need to pay for shoes or bring your own).  You’ll have to check the age limit at your participating bowling center.  If you plan on going regularly as a family & bowling, you can purchase a family pass for $25 for the summer, too!  Find out all the details HERE.

We took advantage of this last summer & my daughter had a blast learning how to bowl.  This summer, we’ve gone once so far with friends & both my girls loved it. They have a ramp that we were able to use for the little ones to roll their balls down as well as the bumpers on the sides. {And I have to say that I had my highest ever score – over 100, amazing for me – we just won’t mention the fact that I was bowling on the same lane as the kids! ;) }  This is definitely a fun, frugal event for families to take advantage of over the summer!
