I was able to use the $1 off, $3 off & a rite aid $5 off $25 purchase all in one transaction. The Rite aid by me did not have tags on the Huggies saying they were $8.99 but they rang up on sale before I even gave her my Rite aid card!

Amanda - Jaime is right in that it is technically "spyware" since they have to have a way to track the coupons you use. Otherwise, if all coupons were in PDF form (w/o having to install coupon "printers") than it would be much easier for fraud to occur & for people to go 'crazy' using too many coupons & ruining it for the rest of us (as we've seen with some fraudulent PDF coupons).

I have never had any problems with viruses from the coupon printing software - I wonder if that's just a coincidence that it appeared around the same time. But, Jaime's right in that everyone needs to decide for themselves what works best for them. You can still find some great savings by using just the Sun paper insert coupons w/o using printable coupons, too.

My brother said it was Spyware as well but I haven't had any problems with increase in viruses. So either my computer is infected and AVG just misses it everytime it runs (slow scan every other day) or it's not as bad as some make it out to be.

If you google "coupons.com coupon printer spyware" you can find articles detailing the complaints people have about the coupon printing software. I am not well-versed enough to comment specifically on the complaints posed in the article I read (not sure I'm allowed to link it) but my general response would be- in order for us coupon-ers to print and use the coupons some sort of limit had to be established and tracking system devised to ensure retailers that the coupons presented are valid and that the manufacturer has some sort of control over how much they're agreeing to pay out to retailers redeeming the coupons. Whether any or all of this is disclosed in the privacy statements I do not know as I am far too lazy to read all it- apparently there are some "kinks" that some people take issue with. So it comes down to choice- to take the risk and save literally hundreds of $$$ or not. For me and my $125 computer it's worth it (I've saved well more than my computer is actually worth)- for some who have a lot more invested in their computer it may not be the best choice.

In order to print a coupon from coupons.com, you need to install their coupon printing software. This is SPYWARE. I loaded it on one of our computers and it's riddled with viruses now. My husband is livid! All for printing a $3 Huggies coupon.
