4-5 Coupon Inserts in Sunday’s Paper & Albertson Doublers!

The coupon companies are definitely starting the year off right with up to 5 inserts in tomorrow’s Sunday paper! It looks like the NW may only be getting 4 inserts, but that’s still a great start! For our area, there should be 2 Smartsource inserts and 2 Red Plum inserts. Other areas may get up to 3 SmartSource and 2 Red Plum inserts.  I’m most excited about those $2.50/1 Finish/Electrasol coupons and pairing that up with the Walgreens Register Reward deal this week!

If you’re wanting to get started couponing, this is a great time to start by grabbing a paper (or two) and start clipping those coupons! I’ll be sharing some basic couponing tips this month for those of you who are beginner couponers–so hold onto those coupons -I’ll share all about how to use them!

If you’re in the NW, you’ll also be excited to find out that Albertson’s will have 3 doublers in the Sunday paper as well.  Look for the one-page flyer for 3 Twice-the-Value coupons, which can be used thru Tuesday Jan 5th!  Check out The Coupon Project’s Albertson’s deal ideas HERE.

Here’s one *hot* deal that I’m excited about as our cereal supply has been getting a bit lower – time to stock up again::

Select Post Cereals – on sale for $1.50 (when you buy 4)
Use $1 off 2 coupon from 12/6 SmartSource
Use 1 Albertson’s Twice-the-Value coupon
Final Price: $.50/box

Thanks Angela!

Any tips for those of us who get the Times and only get the Smart Source inserts?

I just got back from walgreens, bought
1 Electrasol
1 Bayer monitor.
paid $2.56 (w/tax), got back $1RR and $5RR. and will mail in the rebate for the Bayer monitor ($14.99).
I hope the rebate works it said it needed to mailed by Feb 2009, but it's advertised in the Wag's ad. so I'm mailing it in anyway.
I also bought another Electrasol separately ($1.29oop, got $1RR)–I'll be going back for more.

I was surprised to get 5 too from the Tacoma News Tribune (TNT) w/the General Mills insert! yay!

Anonymous – If you don't receive the Red Plum inserts anymore, you can try going here to request to receive it by mail: http://www.valassis.com/1024/Contact/contact_home.aspx

Unfortunately it could take 6-8 wks for it to start & you'll only get 1 insert (or most likely 2 if they have 2 in the paper, I would think).

Another option that one of my readers mentioned on Facebook is that Sound Publishing has a # of papers they publish for free & she reported finding inserts in the Federal Way Mirror & the Auburn paper as well. I don't know that all of them have coupon inserts, but it's worth looking into. I'll be checking into it more this wk and let you know what I find on the blog. Here's the website to see if there's a paper near you: http://www.soundpublishing.com/index.php/corporate/pub_list/sound
