Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters – Review & Coupons

Have you spotted the new snack in stores from Nature Valley? They’ve just recently debuted their Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters in stores and I had the opportunity to try them before they hit the stores, thanks to MyBlogSpark! Basically, they are bite-size clusters of nuts, granola and a little bit of honey. We were able to try all four of the flavors – Roasted Cashew, Nut Lovers, Honey Roasted Peanut, and Roasted Almond, and I have to say that I enjoyed all of them. My favorites were probably the Roasted Cashew and Honey Roasted Peanut, just because those are my two favorite nuts!

These are a great healthy treat for when you’re on the go! They are 100% natural with no high fructose corn syrup. It was perfect for us as we brought them on our trip out to central Washington for my husband’s teacher conference–and it was a nice little treat while in the car (didn’t have to worry about sticky or messy hands) or while out at the park! The clusters are a nice portion-size, too, so that you feel full pretty quickly, even after eating just a few of the clusters (although they are addictive – I have a hard time putting them down! :) ). Even better, they come in resealable packages–so you don’t have to worry about everything spilling out, refilling into ziplocs and your treats staying fresh!
I definitely recommend these snacks as a healthier option for you and your family! You’ll love the taste, but also the convenience of the snack bags!
For those of you who’d like to try these out, here are a few coupons you can use with the Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters::
$1 off $1 (Nature Valley Website) or $1 off $1 Coupon
We actually enjoyed these snacks so much that my husband got some of these last night as part of the Albertson’s Epic promotion–he used the $1/1 coupon with a doubler and was able to get it for free and also have it count towards the Buy 10, Get $5 off. I’m sure there will definitely be more sales with these products, so you’ll want to print these coupons off to use for future sales!!

I really like the nutclusters too. I do hope they have more sales soon, I didn't get a chance to use up all my coupons last week. I've also spotted $.75/1 coupons in store yaped to some of the bags.

Just an fyi…there is a voluntary recall on this item due to possible salmonella contamination.

Thank you for letting us know about that! Sorry I missed that! I just researched it and it looks like it's only for one of these varieties – Nut Lovers and only for certain dates–here's the info:

"Only specific Nut Lovers flavor products with five specific "best if used by dates" are being recalled. The five "best if used" dates are:

07MAR2010, 10MAR2010, 08MAR2010, 11MAR2010, 09MAR2010

Go here for the link for all the info:: http://www.naturevalley.com/recall/default.aspx

So, this means that all the products that are in the stores now should be fine (I'd check the dates just in case)–they are not recalling all the product, just those Nut Lover bags with the specific dates.

Just to add my two cents in here: When I went on Monday, Albertson's had pulled that variety off the shelf, so only the other three were available. I would imagine that most other stores have done the same thing.
