More back-to-school sales – Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Kmart

There are all sorts of back-to-school sales going on this week! Is it me or does it seem like it’s just too early to start thinking about back-to-school?! I feel like the summer just flies by way too fast!! I’m loving this beautiful weather we’ve been having out here in the NW, though–little to no rain at all this summer – amazing!!!
For those of you who may not have kids in school yet, you don’t have any kids, or your children are all grown, you still might want to check out the really low priced school deals!! It’s a great idea to stock up and maybe help out your local schools!! Having worked in the public schools for over 7 years, I know how important donations are for schools and what a difference it can make for the students in those schools so that the staff can make sure that the students in need can have the same resources and supplies as all the other students!!
Another option is to save your supplies for Operation Christmas Child, a great organization where you fill shoeboxes with personal hygiene products and school supplies to give to needy children around the world while sharing God’s love with them. The boxes will be collected in November, so it’s great to start collecting even now with all these deals on school supplies and then all the drugstore deals! You can check out a great post by Frugal Living NW on “Shopping the sales for charitable giving”
Since the stores are bringing on all the super school sales, here’s a roundup of some of the other deals you’ll find around town (see a few posts below for the awesome deals at Staples including a free backpack and pencil sharpener after rebate)::.
