I want to share a little bit about my “10 Reasons Why I Love Albertsons!” If you’ve been a shopper for a little while at Albertsons, I’m sure you’ve seen the changes. At first, it’s a shock to go through the changes, but I want to show you why I think they are better.
1) Clear Weekly Ad:
Have you noticed the difference with the new ad? Yeah, me too! I think it’s more clear. No more gimmicks, and definitely less hoops to jump through to save a buck. Everything is organized neatly. It’s easy to flip through the ad when you need to find a deal. I have to admit that they looked a bit plain at first, but each ad since has gotten more interesting and easy to navigate.
2) Easy, Straight Forward Prices:
No Gimmicks. Remember all the promo’s we had to endure? Sure, some of those saved us big bucks, but some made us buy items we didn’t need just to get a great deal on an item we did need. For the most part, that’s eliminated. They still have some promo’s, which are a little refreshing like………..
- The Buy 10, Save $5 Promo. - Where you’ll get extra savings for buying promo items in bulk.
- The Growing Local Learning Promo – Where you can earn eBox Tops for purchasing General Mills Box Tops Education items as is working this week on many items.
I like those every once in a while. Especially when they have items we like to buy. But I’m loving the low prices, without the gimmicks.
3) Savings for Everyone:
Everyone gets the same low prices across the board. You no longer need a Loyalty card to save a buck! No more giving of your personal information to get the weekly savings. Just an all around savings for everyone. I used to feel bad for some elderly store customers that didn’t sign up, and wouldn’t get the weekly savings only because they didn’t have a loyalty card. Some cashiers were nice enough to scan a general card to give them savings, some did not. And I always wondered why everyone couldn’t get the savings. Now, it’s fair across the board. No special club savings. And I LOVE that!
4) Lower Prices:
Have you noticed the lower prices all around, especially on sale items? They may not be as good as they were when they ran their “Twice The Value” events, but these are great for stock up items, and all around good deals, every week. A few of my favorite items this week are:
- Birds Eye Steam Vegetables – $0.38 each
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls – $0.38 each
- Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls – $0.38 each
- Gravy & Seasoning Packets – BOGO Free
- Betty Crocker Chicken Helper – $0.38 each
- Fresh Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast – $1.79/lb.

5) Coupons are Easy to Stack:
I love that it’s really easy to stack coupons. Albertsons still has in ad coupons, that you can stack with manufacturer’s coupons to save even more. Each coupon is clearly stated with specifics and product limit. And as long as you follow specifics (size, and quantity), it’s super easy!
6) Albertsons Coupons in Booklet:
Have you seen the Albertsons coupons in the coupon booklet at your local Albertsons yet? It looks like an ad, but much thicker. It’s like an ad that lasts a few weeks to a month, and it’s got some great Albertsons coupons in it for Albertsons brand items. I always like to check out that booklet for extra savings on something I may need.
7) Well Stocked:
I have noticed that the stores are able to keep up their Stock on sale items. My local Albertson’s Manager said that it’s better to keep stock up this way because they can gauge better what will sell more quickly, rather than predicting what coupons are out there and how much they’ll need based on that information. When they had “Twice the Value” events on Sunday, they generally couldn’t get enough stock of the hot items in time to use the double coupons, so they had a lot more irritated customers. This way, they know what a low price is for them, and stock accordingly.
8) Easy to Get Rain Checks:
There is still going to be a hot sale that clears the shelves quickly. Like this week, my store was out of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls. No Problem! I know I can get a rain check for anything in the ad (unless it specifies “no rain check”), and come next week to get that item for the same price. I’m not fighting crowds or the sale running out.
9) Customer Service:
One thing I’ve always loved about Albertsons is their customer service! They will try anything to make your shopping experience better. Yes, there have been many cashiers that haven’t fit that bill, but I know if I go to a manager I’m going to get treated fairly. Albertsons is still one of my favorite stores because they treat me like I’m a part of their community. And that’s the main reason I keep going back!
10) Neighborhood Store:
Even though Albertsons isn’t in my neighborhood anymore, I still feel like it’s my neighborhood store. The cashiers at my Albertsons know me. They say Hi. If I haven’t been in a while, they ask where I’ve been. It’s a personal experience, and for that I choose to patronage that store. It’s my neighborhood store.
Are you excited about shopping at Albertsons now too. They have some great deals as part of this weeks Stock Up Sale. Go ahead and check out the Albertsons coupon match ups here.
